Michelle Keegan becomes Coronation Street’s highest earning former star on Instagram as she rakes in thousands

EX-CORONATION Street actress Michelle Keegan is the soap’s highest earning former star on Instagram, commanding tens of thousands for a single sponsored post.

ITV has a strict no promotions policy for its actors on their social media accounts but once they’ve left they’re allowed to cash in on their fame and popularity.

Michelle mixes up her feed with sponsored and personal posts

Michelle rose to fame on the famous Weatherfield cobbles as Tina McIntyre, before she was brutally killed off in 2014 when her character was pushed from the balcony and beaten with a lead pipe.

Since then the 32-year-old has gone on to star in shows such as Our Girl and Brassic, gaining an army of fans and followers.

The stunning actress has racked up a huge Instagram following of over 4.5million and counting.

In addition to her acting work Michelle also has a clothing collaborations with Very, and is married to former Towie star Mark Wright.

And now, according to Mazuma Mobile, our favourite former soap stars can earn thousands for a single post, building up a small fortune.

The mobile network reckons Michelle is the highest-earning former cast member, making an estimated £22,945 for every sponsored social media post.

Michelle recently delighted Brassic fans by telling them filming for season three of the hit series will start filming “ASAP”.

The actress replied to one of her fans on Instagram who gushed about the show, saying she hoped there would be a season three.

Michelle recently confirmed season three of Brassic on Sky One

The former Our Girl star replied: “Yes there is… hopefully start filming ASAP,” followed by a kissing face emoji.

Michelle stars alongside Joe Gilgun, Damien Molony and Ryan Sampson in Brassic, a comedy drama about crime, gangsters and friendship.

Brassic was inspired by Joseph’s upbringing in Chorley.

Season three of Brassic was confirmed before season two had even aired on Sky One.
