The former Coronation Street star decided to take her mum to The Ivy and she certainly dressed up for the occasion.

Michelle looked like she’d thrown it back a few decades as she glammed up in 50’s style lilac midi-length dress which feature short sleeves and button detailing.

Michelle wore her brunette locks down in a bouncy blow dry and completed her look with a cream coloured handbag.

Proving she’s just like the rest of us, Michelle took time out during a trip to the loo to take a smouldering mirror selfie.

She then gave her fans a chuckle as she shared a picture of her mum taking her own photos inside the bathroom.

“While I’m taking mirror selfies, she’s taking pictures of the toilet ceiling,” Michelle captioned the shot of Jackie snapping away.

The Our Girl actress later shared a photo of her and her mum enjoying a tender moment as they left the restaurant and posed for a picture in front of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Our Girl wrapped its fourth season earlier this year, with Michelle’s character Georgie Lane appearing to find a new love after the death of her fiance Elvis.

This week it was confirmed the show will not return with a new leading lady, with Our Girl creator and writer Tony Grounds saying: “With the finale of series four showing Georgie ready to move on with her life, it feels like the right time for us to do the same.

“Michelle and I are keen to continue our working relationship and, who knows, maybe we’ll catch up with Georgie in the future.

“I wanted to say a big thank you to the fans of the show, it’s been a joy to write.”

Piers Wenger, Controller Of BBC Drama, said: “We are very proud of Our Girl and would like to thank Tony Grounds, Michelle Keegan and the fantastic cast and crew for all their hard work on the show.”
