A FORMER pop star has been mistaken for Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle are a huge transformation.

The iconic noughties singer swapped her trademark blonde hair for a darker look as she dressed up for panto.

Kerry Katona looked completely different in snaps shared on Instagram – and fans insisted they had to do a double take.

One commented: “I thought it was Chas from Emmerdale!”

Another agreed, writing: “Exactly what I was going to say.”

Someone else wrote: “I thought this was Chas Dingle.”

And a fourth echoed: “Definitely thought this was Chas from Emmerdale at first.”

Kerry, 42, is currently starring in a Spring production of Rapunzel.

Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry’s transformation comes after she opened up to fans about her weight, revealing she’s on a new diet.

Uploading a workout video, she told her followers:  “Morning beautiful people, I’ve been up since 4 o’clock, I am on the treadmill.

“I have had my coffee, I have done my morning meditation.

“I’m on the Francis diet. Still going strong, still fat but I am very, very excited about Monday when I check in and see if I have lost any weight”

Recently, the Whole Again singer admitted she is the heaviest she has ever been without being pregnant.

In September, Kerry was shocked by her size when photographed on the beach in Spain – but insisted it’s “normal” to put on “a s***load of weight” when having time off.
