One major Hollyoaks villain gets comeuppance

Another is shunned by everyone in the village

1. Mason gets rejected

Brainwashed by Eric Foster and his women-hating online forum, Mason Chen-Williams (portrayed by Frank Kauer) has made some regrettable decisions in recent weeks.

But with the radical misogynist in prison, it’s time for the youngster to get back to a normal life.

This week on Channel 4, Mason decides that he wants to go back to school and his parents are happy to support him.

However, this happiness is short-lived when it’s clear someone refuses to forgive Mason’s actions – a petition to get Mason out of the local school is circulating.

Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), who was attacked by Eric Foster, tries to talk some sense into her half-brother, but he fails to listen.

Meanwhile in prison, Eric (Angus Castle-Doughty) finds out he’s getting a surprise visitor, Mason himself.

Could the lad keep Eric’s legacy alive in Chester?

In later scenes, he’s forced to give up on his bond with Eric when his father Dave catches him skipping school and finds out he was planning on visiting the villain.

Maxine doesn’t give up on Mason and advises him again.

This time, she encourages him to show his family how sorry he truly is in the hopes he can, one day, be forgiven.

But will it work?

Is Mason remorseful?

Mason’s mother Honour is determined to do the right thing for him

2. Honour is desperate for help

As her son struggles in the village, Honour Chen-Williams (Vera Chok) is willing to go above and beyond to help him.

She first meets with Nancy Osborne after seeing posters in the village campaigning against Mason’s return to Hollyoaks High.

Honour is then convinced Ste Hay could be responsible for the hate campaign targeting Mason… but is she right?

Upon learning the teen was ready to pay Eric a visit, Honour ambushes the latter by turning up to prison herself instead of Mason.

The matriarch is adamant on finding a way to help her son and is hoping Eric can give her the insight she needs.

Unfortunately, and as to be expected with Eric, the meeting quickly turns sour and Honour makes a shock decision after losing her temper.

The consequences of her choice are inevitable as Honour is immediately suspended, left fearful she may be sacked.

A regretful Mason seeks legal advice from Maxine to help Honour save her job and the young woman promises to find a way to help her.

In later scenes, she comes up with an idea – what if the Chen-Williams swayed the public opinion with a women’s rally?

Could her idea work?

3. Mercedes vanishes

Accused of helping her son cover up his crimes, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) was thrown in police custody.

This week, her brother John Paul (James Sutton) finds out she’s being held on remand somewhere but can’t get in touch with her.

Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) is asked to investigate and, after speaking to Zoe Anderson, he drops a bombshell.

John Paul finds out Mercedes was actually released weeks ago and has vanished into thin air.

With Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) due for sentencing later in the week, John Paul and Felix ask James Nightingale to hire a private investigator to find Mercedes.

Felix gets an idea when John Paul is probed about where she could be as he mentions a chippy she usually goes to.

He later finds her in the shop and convinces her to come home.

But how will she cope with Bobby’s legal troubles?

4. Bobby gets sentenced

The youngster faces comeuppance after he was revealed to be a murderer.

His mother Mercedes is still reeling from the shock and Felix is trying to get her to release her anger during a boxing session before Bobby’s sentencing.

While she’s accused of helping Bobby, Felix urges her to take some responsibility and stop justifying what he did.

Later on, John Paul convinces Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) to attend Bobby’s court hearing, but she’s far from
supportive.

Goldie was one of the first resident to suspect Bobby had a villainous streak.

Bobby will also benefit from his mother’s support during his hearing as Mercedes turns up to court just in time for the verdict.

What sentence will he receive?

Juliet’s health is on the line

5. Juliet comes clean

Elsewhere in the village, Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) has been keeping a big health secret from her nearest and dearest.

Coming up, her former girlfriend Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) encourages her to come clean to her family about her recent test results.

But when Juliet calls for a family meeting, her mother Donna-Marie gets the wrong end of the stick.

She jumps to the conclusion that her and Peri are back together and throws a party to celebrate.

Will she correct Donna-Marie?

In later scenes, Peri admits to Juliet that she still cares, but they agree not to rekindle their relationship.

They arrange to meet at the Love Boat later during the day but Juliet is a no show.

Imran struggled with an eating disorder

6. Imran makes a new friend

It’s revealed Juliet stood Peri up to visit Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) instead, and she asks him to be her partner in crime.

After spending a whole day together, Juliet and Imran pinky promise each other to not give up on their journeys to recovery.

Imran returns to the treatment centre, where he meets a new face…

Peri and Juliet video call him in the clinic and are happy to find out he’s made a friend.

He talks about Justine, a girl who he’s growing very close to.

Is all as it seems?

Will Vicky Grant really leave?

7. Shock exits revealed

Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) made her first appearance in Hollyoaks when Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) wanted to become a foster parent.

Although it took them a while to warm up to one another, the pair have grown closer than ever in recent months.

But Scott is heartbroken this week when Vicky reveals that her mum is ready for her to move back in.

Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) has an idea for her to cheer him up and Vicky surprises Scott with a foster family tree.

That won’t be the end of it – Damon comes in with an Anita Tinkle fashion show for Scott.

While Scott knows all about Vicky leaving Chester, there’s one person who is still unaware of her plans.

Vicky struggles to come clean to DeMarcus Westwood (Tomi Ade) about the fact she’s leaving.

But when she tries to open up to him, he gets the wrong idea and asks her to be his girlfriend.

At the park, Vicky finally comes clean to DeMarcus, and when she doesn’t agree that long distance could work they leave it on a sour note…

Vicky won’t be the only one thinking of new horizons this week.

Yazz and Tom Cunningham try to surprise Shaq Qureshi (Omar Malik) with a slice of Paris for breakfast to convince to go on the trip.

Sadly, Shaq refuses to listen as he’s still trying to process Verity Hutchinson’s shock death.

Later on, he opens up to his mother Misbah and talks about his pain… before reaching a decision for his future.

Hollyoaks airs on Channel 4 and E4.
