CARLA Connor’s state remains a big cause for concern for her loved ones as they fear a relapse into psychosis.

This week in Coronation Street, the businesswoman’s life could be in severe. Get the lowdown on all the upcoming drama.

Stephen Reid plans a third murder

Meanwhile, Carla is out of control

1. Carla spirals out of control

The Underword boss portrayed by Alison King recently crashed a factory van into Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) who, at the time, was riding Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) brand new motorbike.

Uninsured, Carla learned through Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) that she’ll have a lawsuit on her hands.

In scenes due to air on ITV, Carla stresses about ending up behind bars as an uninsured driver but her husband Peter vows to never let that happen.

Later on, at the factory, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) is surprised when a preoccupied Carla agrees to a staff bonus after everybody bagged the American deal.

Aside from her legal worries, Carla’s mental health has clearly been on the decline as she’s had many strange episodes.

Determined to be safe rather than sorry, Carla sees Dr Gaddas and describes that, through each of her episode, she’s felt like she’s tripping on drugs.

The doctor prescribes her with diazepam but will it really solve everything?

This is highly unlikely – when the Americans arrive in Weatherfield, Carla gets reminded by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) that she’ll need to be on top form.

Carla can’t believe his nerve and as she takes charge, orders him to make the tea.

When the meeting draws to a close, Carla’s behaviour drastically changes and grows more erratic.

With the Americans gone, the Underworld employees celebrate their new deal, but they’re interrupted by a worse for wear Carla who barks at them to get out of her factory.

Will Stephen make a third victim in the cobbles?

2. Stephen plans his third murder

Unbeknownst to everyone, Carla’s spiral is caused by something VERY sinister and it could all go up in flames for her this week.

As fans of the Manchester-based drama will remember, Stephen is responsible for Carla’s troubles and is holding a grudge after he was demoted by the Underworld leading lady.

Since then, he’s been making her life a nightmare without her even realising it as he’s spiked many of her drinks with LSD.

Once he sees Carla lash out at everyone in the factory, Stephen allows himself a satisfied smile – but he’s not done with her.

The following day, Carla begins to feel better and announces she’s going back to work.

She assures Peter and Stephen that it was nothing more than a blip but when she goes to make a drink, Carla smashes a mug and cuts her finger.

Finding it hard to cope, she concedes and accepts she may need another chat with Dr Gaddas who, later, suggests she takes an extended break and goes back on her antipsychotic drugs.

Stephen makes the most of the distraction and swipes Carla’s keys from the factory.

Before long, he manages to let himself into the flat and, once he makes sure Carla is asleep, drops her keys back into her bag before heading to the kitchen to turn on the grill.

Will Carla survive?

Or could she become Stephen’s third victim?

Justin’s sister rocks up Weatherfield with a massive warning for Daisy

3. Daisy gets a chilling warning

The Rovers barmaid has had enough of feeling unsupported and in danger at all times as Justin (played by former Hollyoaks star Andrew Still) roams free in the cobbles.

In recent scenes, however, Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) lashed out on her fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) and he tries to make it up to her.

Meanwhile, Justin gets a taste of his own medicine in upcoming scenes of the soap when Daisy finds him lurking outside.

Declaring she’s had enough, she whips out her phone and starts filming him to prove to him what it feels like.

Meanwhile in the pub, Jenny Connor and Glenda Shuttleworth (respectively played by Sally Ann Matthews and Jodie Prenger) watch Daisy’s livestream in horror.

Justin eventually hurries away, scared of repercussions, but his sister Karen (Lynn Kennedy) later calls at the Rovers – and she has a chilling warning for Daisy.

Karen lets her know that this isn’t the first time Justin has been obsessed with someone and she needs to watch her back as he is more dangerous than she may think.

What will Justin be ready to do?

Adam tries to keep his business afloat

4. Adam makes a shock confession

Adam (portrayed by Sam Robertson) makes a shocking confession to his father Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) in upcoming scenes of the Manchester-based program.

Months after the tragic death of his associate Imran Habeeb, Adam realises that the future of his firm may be in jeopardy.

He shares his worries about the business with Peter and Steve but can they help him in any way?

Soon enough, it becomes clear Adam is ready to make a deal with the Devil.

Damon Hay return to Weatherfield

5. Explosive return for major villain

Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) later arrives at Barlow Legal Services, where she found herself a job following her decision to settle in Weatherfield.

However, she’s horrified to see a familiar and unexpected face as Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) comes back to the cobbles after his arrest.

But Damon isn’t here to cause trouble, in fact, he’s even chatting to Adam calmly in the solicitor’s office.

Dee-Dee is quick to tell Adam that Damon was the one to make Nick Tilsley’s life a misery at the Bistro and she orders him to sling his hook.

Adam has another idea as he realises that Damon may bring him the business his firm desperately needs.

He suggests they should take Damon on as a client as he’s in need of legal representation… and he’s also loaded.

Unfortunately, it may take Adam a lot of convincing to get Dee-Dee on board as she’s immediately appalled at the idea.

Can Adam change her mind?

Tim wants to reconnect with Miley

6. Tim betrays Faye

The Underworld telesales agent portrayed by Ellie Leach became a mother for the first time as a teenager after she slept with Jackson, a former classmate.

Aware she couldn’t give her daughter the life she deserved, she allowed Jackson’s family to take Miley away from her to Canada and moved on with her life.

Years later, Faye realised she wants to build a family with her partner Craig Tinker but is unable to as she’s going through an early menopause.

But while Faye isn’t ready to open her life up to Faye, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is adamant on meeting his granddaughter.

This leads the cabbie to betray his own daughter – but could it be the right thing to do?

Tim himself was shocked to learn from Jackson that Faye has been refusing to respond to his messages in recent scenes of the program.

It all begins when Faye heads out for the day with her partner Craig Tinker.

Meanwhile, Tim’s wife Sally (Sally Dynevor) tells him that he’s playing with fire by welcoming Jackson and Miley in without Faye’s knowledge.

All goes well until Miley recognises Eliza and the pair catch up on the Street – just as Craig and Faye pull up in a cab.

Tim’s heart sinks but how will Faye react?

What will she do when she sees Miley and Jackson?

In later scenes, she turns to her father for a heart-to-heart and Tim tries to talk sense into her.

He points out that if she passes up the opportunity to get to know her daughter, she may regret it for the rest of her life.

But will Faye actually listen to what he has to say?

Will she ever bond with Miley?

Can Beth work things out with Kirk?

7. Exes reunite

Speaking of reunion, life in Weatherfield is bringing back several exes together – but could it cause more harm than good?

Beth Tinker is paying the consequences of her actions after she lied about not slapping Hope Stape.

The Underworld machinist played by Lisa George slapped the young girl after she tried to avenge Cilla the chinchilla by targeting her dog, Peanut.

But once she hit Hope, Beth knew she had to be very careful, particularly as the youngster told her mother Fiz Stape all about the slap.

Beth lied and bribed Hope but the truth caught up with her in recent scenes – and resulted in heaps of issues within her relationship with Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment).

The packer was unable to look at Beth the same way when he found she had not only slapped Hope but also lied about it.

After initially planning to pack up and leave her, his sister Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) managed to push him back to Beth who tried on multiple occasions to change his mind about her.

The pair were close to reuniting in the Rovers until Kirk found a handwritten letter left to Beth by a man named Marco.

Kirk realised he may not be anything special to Beth and the shock discovery seemed to seal the deal for him as he walked out of the pub.

This week, Beth finds a way to cope with her heartbreak by getting in touch with Marco, a former lover.

Having dressed to impress him, Beth asks Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) to accompany her to meet Marco.

However, when she realises she’s surplus to requirements, the Rovers barmaid makes herself scarce.

How far will Beth go?

Could Kirk come back running?

While that remains to be seen, Kirk has another former sweetheart to rekindle a connection with and Beth is left seething.

In later scenes, Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and him reminisce about the time he proposed to her.

Can Kirk and Beth work things out?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
