REISS Colwell appeared in Albert Square and immediately rubbed shoulders with new flatmate Sonia Fowler.
Their connection has since evolved romantically… and could be in jeopardy as the nurse makes a shock discovery in EastEnders.

BBC One viewers have been eager to see the Walford stalwart portrayed by Natalie Cassidy get the love story she deserves.
And romance finally seemed to be in the cards for Sonia when Reiss Colwell (played by Jonny Freeman) rocked up Walford for the first time, ahead of Dot Branning’s emotional funeral.
But newcomers always have things to hide and Sonia will get a painful reminder that not everything is ever as it seems in the Square next week.
It all kicks off when Sonia wakes up to birthday treats but no Reiss.
Over at the café, Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) tells Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) about overhearing Reiss on the phone.
In earlier scenes, Rocky bumped into Reiss while the latter was making a troubling phone call to a mystery person but Kathy tells him to drop it for the sake of Sonia’s birthday celebrations.
Time ticks down to the coronation performance but there’s still no Reiss and Rocky comes close to sharing his suspicions with a worried Sonia.
Reiss appears in the nick of time – only to be confronted by Rocky.
Unfortunately for the newcomer, Sonia walks in and overhears their conversation and she’s left devastated by what she finds out.
Heartbroken and mad, she demands that Reiss gets out of her life.
In the aftermath of the bitter separation, Sonia finds support in the form of Martin Fowler (James Bye) while Reiss sleeps in his car all night and remains desperate to explain himself.
Eventually, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) takes pity on him and urges Sonia to hear him out.
But what is Reiss hiding from Sonia and could it really be the end of the line for the budding couple?
As mentioned above, Reiss appeared in Albert Square in late 2022, as a forgotten member of Dot’s family.
While many viewers found him endearing, a handful of soap fans suspected he could be hiding a massive secret from Sonia right from the get-go.
Many believe Reiss could be hiding a wife, much like Rocky Cotton has done in the past.
