Strictly Christmas pairings revealed as Gemma Atkinson dances with Gorka Marquez and Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell reunite

STRICTLY Come Dancing bosses have announced their Christmas special partners.

The BBC production, which will air on Christmas Day, will feature real life couples Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell, plus Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez.

Former Emmerdale star Gemma, 34, was previously partnered with Alja korjanec in 2017 before falling for professional dancer Gorka, 29.

Meanwhile, Joe, 28, and Dianne, 30, who hit it off in 2018, will reunite for the one-off show.

Kevin Clifton will dance with finalist Debbie McGee, and Graziano Di Prima will be partnered with Chizzy Akudolu.

Janette Manara will hit the floor with 2014 contestant Mark Wright..

And GMB presenter Richard Arnold will be dancing with Luba Mushtuk.

The festive special will be hosted by Strictly favourites Tess DalyandClaudia Winkleman.

The foursome of Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and head judge Shirley Ballaswill also be back on the panel.

The judges will be on hand to score each couple, yet it will be down to the studio audience to vote for which dancing duo will win and lift the famous Silver Star trophy.

Gemma previously revealed she can’t wait to hit the dancefloor once more.

She said: “I had the absolute best time on Strictly and it completely changed my life so I am absolutely overjoyed to be returning to the dancefloor this Christmas with a new challenge, and of course to be back with the gang!”

While TV presenter Mark, who relocated back to the UK from Los Angeles to be with wife Michelle Keegan, added: “Its been a while since I was on the dancefloor but Im very much looking to forward to dusting off the dance shoes for Christmas!”

“I cant wait to be back lets get going!”

 

Good Morning Britain’s showbiz reporter Richard, who was partnered with Erin Boag in 2012, joked: I cant wait to get back out on the dance floor and throw shapes beneath the glitter ball once again.

“I just cant promise youll recognise them or that theyll be in any particular order.”

The six couples will perform a Christmas inspired routine in a bid to be crowned champion.
