STRICTLY Come Dancing champ Kelvin Fletcher is set to snub lucrative West End offers.

The former Emmerdale star says he wants to concentrate on new telly and film roles instead.

Kelvin, 35, lifted the Glitterball trophy with pro partner Oti Mabuse, 29, in the BBC shows final on Saturday night.

Previous finalists including actor Danny Mac, 31, and pop star Kimberley Walsh, 38, have gone on to enjoy successful careers in musical theatre.

But Kelvin a regular at the Woolpack pub during his 20 years as farmer Andy Sugden on the ITV soap Emmerdale said: Ive loved the dancing but drama and film is what I want to do.

The West End is fantastic but for me TV drama is where I want to be.

But Fletcher is hoping the victory would land him dream roles in TV or film

“Hopefully Strictly has given people the opportunity to see me in a different light.

Kelvin, a last-minute replacement for injured reality star Jamie Laing, 31, is contracted to take part in the 33-date live Strictly tour which starts in January.

But he said: I feel confident now to go back into the acting world and see what happens. Its been a pleasure to be on the show.

“It was the most unique experience but now I need to rest.

Kelvin admitted he felt self-conscious dancing as it normally takes a few beers for him to strut his stuff at parties.

He plans to celebrate his win with a belated wedding anniversary break for wife Eliza and their two children.

Kelvin added: I feel a little bit guilty being away from them for so long.
