THE Bay viewers were left stunned after a soap star favourite made his debut on the show.
The gritty Morecambe-based crime series is now in its fourth season, and DS Jenn Townsend has a new case to tackle.

The current instalment of The Bay focuses on the death of young mum Beth Metcalf, who appears to have been killed in a targeted attack.
DS Jenn Townsend was called to help bereft husband Dean, who was struggling to hold it together with four children to look after.
Yet the arrival of loan shark Len Reid raised eyebrows among fans.
They quickly recalled his actor Robert Beck and his previous roles as Emmerdale‘s Gavin Ferris and Brookside‘s Peter Harrison.
Viewers then commented on Twitter, with one quipping: “Robert Beck looks younger now than he did in Brookside!”
A second flagged his identity as hey wrote: “He’s Robert Beck. He was in #Brookside and #Corrie and #TheBill.”
A third then noted: “Robert Beck hasn’t changed since his #Brookside days.”
Off-screen, the actor has maintained his soap connections and is married to Coronation Street actress Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby.
The pair married in 2005 and the ceremony took place at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire.
This series of The Bay has six episodes in total and will wrap on April 12, 2023.
