THE pressure becomes increasingly overwhelming for Nicky Milligan while his nuptials with Gabby Thomas are fast approaching.

Meanwhile, a new feud is brewing in Emmerdale and one unexpected legend may decide to throw a spanner in the works.

Nicky is getting ready to tie the knot with Gabby Thomas

But he’s struggling to stick to his father’s plans

Will he be exposed?

1. Nicky’s secret exposed

Gabby Thomas (portrayed by Rosie Bentham) asked her mother Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) to walk her down the aisle in recent scenes of the ITV soap.

But while Gabby is over the moon, Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) is at his wit’s end.

Nicky told his father Caleb (Will Ash) that he wanted out of the plan after rekindling a passionate affair with his real lover, Ally (Josh Horrocks).

Unfortunately, and although he accepted Nicky’s sexuality, Caleb insisted he had to stick to the plan to get him out of his financial turmoil and prevent his mother from ending up in the streets.

With the pressure of keeping his family afloat, Nicky felt trapped into going ahead with the nuptials.

This week, Nicky is due to celebrate his stag do when he begins to feel overwhelmed.

To top it all off, he agrees to meet Ally in private the following day – but could they get caught?

Fans turned to social media after Wednesday’s trip to the Dales when Bernice began to question Gabby about her future groom.

The eccentric character made a remark about Nicky’s skin and it didn’t go unnoticed.

“He’s got lovely skin – are you sure he’s not gay?”, Bernice asked.

Soap viewers have since theorised she could be the one to unmask Nicky and expose him to the rest of the village.

What is Claudette really up to?

2. Claudette has devious plans

But Nicky isn’t the only Emmerdale resident to be keeping a massive secret as Charles Anderson’s mother Claudette is clearly not being honest either.

The village vicar portrayed by Kevin Mathurin was over the moon when his mother Claudette (Coronation Street actress Flo Wilson) rocked up the Dales.

But what was meant to be a visit may have to be extended as Claudette soon complained and revealed she was suffering from back pain – while making Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) day a nightmare.

Claudette has been using Manpreet’s chequered past with Charles to stir up trouble and the village GP has had no other choice but to accept it due to her seemingly troubled health.

What if Claudette was trying to push Manpreet out of Charles’ life altogether?

Coming up, Manpreet becomes suspicious about Claudette’s back pain.

And her suspicions seem to be confirmed when Claudette finds herself alone and moves with ease, her back pain nowhere to be found.

Could she be pretending to be hurt to convince Charles she needs to move in with him?

Is Claudette trying to keep Charles all to herself?

Who will buy Moira’s farm?

3. Village legend returns

Trouble is looming again for Moira Dingle this week following her collision with Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).

This week, Nicola decides to exact revenge on Moira whom she solely blames for the accident, while her frustrated husband Jimmy (Nick Miles) implores her to visit Angel in hospital.

She’s convinced Moira must have been up to no good but when she visits the Doctors’ surgery, Nicola is told by Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) that there is no medical evidence to substantiate her claims, leaving her burning with injustice.

Later on, Angel encourages Nicola to accept the crash was nothing more than an accident but she’s unreadable as she decides what to do next.

Unfortunately, Nicola maintains her feud against Moira and continues her online tirade behind Angel’s back.

Prior to the crash, the farmer played by Natalie J. Robb tried to keep her farm afloat after Caleb Milligan interfered with the meat she produces.

With her business in peril, Moira decided to sell her land to Kim Tate but could Nicola’s interference make things even worse for her?

Fans of the Yorkshire-based drama have speculated Kim Tate won’t be the one to buy Moira’s farm after all.

Instead, they suspect a legendary character will make his return after Kelvin Fletcher responded to a video of Moira telling her husband Cain she was selling her farm circulated on social media.

“I’ll buy it”, the actor penned in the comments and fans saw this as a promise his character Andy Sugden will return to his Emmerdale roots and buy Moira’s farm.

Could they be on to something?

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
