The nurse played by Susan Cookson was left down in the dumps with the knowledge she’s put her relationship with Bob in jeopardy by cavorting with Liam (portrayed by Jonny McPherson).
As ITV viewers will remember, the pair bonded when Wendy found out Liam was a published murder mystery author and she took it upon herself to help him with one of his stories.
Their connection escalated into a steamy surgery romp and Wendy has been clear with Liam that it could only be a moment’s madness.
But when met with Liam’s insistence once again next week, as he makes a last-ditch attempt to reunite their writing partnership, Wendy knows she only has one option left.
Wendy upsets them both by sticking to her decision to break it all off. – will Liam continue to insist?
Fans of the Yorkshire-based drama have been left in disbelief after recent scenes of the soap were aired.
The scenes showed Wendy and Liam in fancy dress as the doctor won Murder Most Murky’s New Crime Author of the Year Award with the nurse’s help.
They then kissed and let passion overcome them, only to awake the following day, disorientated and recovering from a heavy hangover.
Wendy felt guilty over lying to Bob and shared her concerns with Liam, which led to her trying to nip the affair in the bud.
Unfortunately, Wendy was unable to resist Liam for much longer and the pair shared another kiss in the GP surgery.
But while Wendy has been worried about Bob, the B&B owner was having a passionate moment of his own with business partner Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles).
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
