The Jubilee episode of EastEnders will feature the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.

What is the EastEnders Jubilee theme tune?

The Eastenders Jubilee theme tune is to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

EastEnders executive producer Chris Clenshaw said: “To have Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall not only visit us all in Walford, but to also appear in an episode, we felt it was only right that we marked this extremely momentous episode with a fitting tribute.

“What better way than to wish Their Royal Highnesses on their way from Albert Square than with a special Jubilee version of our iconic theme tune, remastered by the very talented Simon May.”

The Duke and Duchess secretly filmed their scene at the end of March on an official visit to the BBC One soap’s new set.

Who created the EastEnders Jubilee theme tune?

Simon May is also the original theme tune composer.

The original song, Anyone Can Fall in Love, was released in 1986 and sung by EastEnders actress Anita Dobson, who played the character of Angie Watts.

When will the EastEnders Jubilee theme tune be used?

The EastEnders Jubilee theme tune will be played during the celebratory Jubilee episode on Thursday, June 2, at 7:30 pm on BBC One.

The episode will then become available on BBC iPlayer once it has aired.
