How is Marion related to Max Turner in Coronation Street?

Max Turner is the adopted son of David Platt.

Max’s biological parents are Callum Logan and Kylie Platt, who are both deceased.

Kylie dumped drug dealer Callum after finding love with David, who then adopted Max and became his legal father.

Gang leader Callum was killed by Kylie in 2015 after he attacked her sister-in-law Sarah.

The following year, Kylie was also murdered by Shonas son Clayton Hibbs who David later shacked up with.

But Shona and Davids happy family was short lived when Marion – Callum Logans mother – burst onto the scene and announced that Max had been regularly visiting her.

As the biological grandmother of Max, she launched a custody battle after noticing that Shona had been drinking while looking after Max.

Max became quite the rebellious teenager under Shona’s care as he tried to sell his ADHD medication and refused to do what he was told.

But Marion lost the fight before it had really begun when Max announced hed rather stay with Shona.
