ARSENAL fans have been winding up Stricly Come Dancing viewers by voting for Gunners legend Tony Adams to remain in the competition.

Adams is through to week eight of the show along with dance partner Katya Jones and four other couples.

Tony Adams and partner Katya were voted through to week eight on Sunday

Some Stricly viewers feel Adams is only still in the competition because of his support from Arsenal fans

The pair danced salsa this week to a track by Pitbull but some Stricly fans felt Tony ought to be voted off.

One viewer labelled Tony’s progress a “disgrace”, suggesting he only remains in the show because loyal Arsenal fans keep voting for their former captain.

But Arsenal fans are loving it and find the outcry from Strictly fans hilarious.

One supporter wrote: “Arsenal annoying the footballing world Arsenal annoying the Strictly world. It’s absolutely beautiful.”

Another added: “The Arsenal fanbase mobilising to keep Tony Adams in #Strictly is a highlight of the year…

“The meltdown it’s causing among some hardcore fans is hilarious 🤣.”

And a third said: “Not only The Arsenal rattled the Premier League and the likes of Keys, Neville and all the other haters, but we’ve managed to rattle the Strictly community too. What a club!”

Another Gooner commented: “People surprised at Tony Adams going through clearly don’t know Arsenal fans. They’re organised, relentless voters and middle class.

“Adams could win this.”
