STRICTLY star Johannes Radebe has revealed he and comedian Ellie Taylor are training 10 hours a day in a bid to secure a place in the final.

The professional dancer, 35, said that there is “no competition” with the other couples and is positive he can get to the final and lift the glitterball trophy with Ellie, 38.

Strictly star Johannes Radebe said he’s pushing Ellie Taylor in rehearsals

The pro dancer said there is ‘no competition’ with the other couples

Speaking exclusively to SE about his chances of winning, Johannes said: “There is nothing in trying if you know what I mean, I’m sure Ellie would say different, but I say wow, I’m here, why not go for the glitterball.

“The training has been gruelling; we work more than 10 hours a day and I love the fact that she’s got a supportive family who make sure those hours are possible for her.

“That is why I said I wish she could be applauded for what she does because honestly she has dedicated her life to this experience and that is the most beautiful thing for me.”

The ballroom star admitted that he and Ellie are only in competition with themselves as they gear up for tonight’s Halloween special.

Johannes who won an Inspirational Public Figure at 2022 Ethnicity Awards, told us: “We are our biggest competition, you know what I mean, when you try to get that dance on Saturday.

“You work against you and yourself and your partnership.”

The star went onto praise Ellie for her work ethic and said he was proud of her dancing journey so far.

“I’ve never laughed as much in my life, besides that she’s the girl next door, there is a connection I have with Ellie where she does feel like a sister to me,” he continued.

“Training has been going very well, she’s worked very hard.

“It’s been incredible because I do feel like each year you get something different and it’s just for you to help bring out the dancer in them.

“I love the fact that Ellie’s a learner dancer coming into this competition and for me to have seen the transformation every single week in terms of the improvement – I have to say I’m the happiest boy alive.”

Johannes also had his say on the Strictly ‘mole’ who has been leaking the results online.

Bosses of Strictly are becoming increasingly concerned as fans have the results show ruined by leaked information online.

The leaking is possible as Sunday night’s results show is filmed “live” after Saturday night’s show – with the audience sworn to secrecy.

Addressing the problem, Johannes had a simple message as he laughed: “The people that love the show knows the dealio.”

It comes after judge Craig Revel Horwood has hit out at the mole who has been leaking which celeb is voted off before the results show.

Panellist Craig, 57, has slammed the Strictly leaker and said they need to “get a life” for “ruining” the Sunday results show.

Speaking exclusively to SE, Craig said the person in question needs to be removed from “every social media platform”, in a bid to stop them spreading these “vicious rumours”.

Johannes attended the ceremony, hosted by Loose Women star and comedian Judi Love.

Celebrities and public figures, recognised as advocates who are working to progress equality, were honoured with accolades.

Sir Lenny Henry was awarded the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award as a committed leader in championing racial equality and standing up for communities across his life in the public eye.

Sir Mo Farah won a Sports Trailblazer Award for his consistent, honest and important use of his platform to speak out against all forms of discrimination in order to advance the bringing about of real change.

TV personality Alison Hammond scooped the Host of the Year prize, presented to her on stage by Judi.
