THE QUEEN’S state funeral on September 19 was the most-watched UK TV broadcast of 2022, with 25million viewers.

In second place was I’m A Celebrity, with the launch of the ITV series’ latest series on November 6 drawing in 11.9million viewers.

It nudged BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing final on December 17 into third place with 10.5million.

May’s Eurovision Song Contest rated well, with 9.1million.

Top drama also captivated viewers, according to the list compiled by website Deadline.

Vicky McClure’s Trigger Point on ITV came fifth with 8.7million, while other gripping tales making the top ten included The Thief, His Wife And The Canoe on ITV and Jamie Dornan’s The Tourist for BBC1 – both with 8.4million.
