STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are up in arms as they think they have spotted a potential feud.

The weekend saw the semi-final of the BBC dancing competition take place with the final five couples competing for a space in the live finale.

Will Mellor was the lowest scoring dancer in Strictly’s semi-final

But fans flooded Twitter with comments about the tense edition of the long-running show.

Viewers of Strictly thought some of the judges’ comments were more cutting than usual, particularly towards actor and singer, Will Mellor.

Fans particularly took issue with the comments from head judge Shirley Ballas.

Will, 46, and his partner Nancy Xu, 31, performed two dances over last weekend’s instalment, but failed to impress the judges as they got the lowest scores of all the couples.

The pair were given a combined score of 70 for both their dances, receiving 38 for their Couple’s Choice with a mash-up of tracks from Fools Gold and Happy Mondays.

But the couple received just 32 for their Paso Doble to Uccen (Dancing With The Stars Remix) by the Taabli Brothers.

Will’s fans think they have spotted a potential feud, as the actor and singer was left unimpressed by Shirley’s harsh critiques.

One fan wrote: “Will looking well-miffed at being criticised; always a sign, to me, that they’ve got a bit too high on their own supply.”

Whilst a second commented: “Will annoys me because when he gets any criticism he goes all morngy and moody, and acts like he shouldn’t be getting criticism.”

A third noted: “Will acting like a spoiled brat when he gets criticism once, fleur and molly have been dealing with Shirley’s criticism for weeks and never threw a fuss.”

Another viewer said: “Shirley really attacked Will.”

This comes as Strictly Come Dancing returned to TV screens on Sunday, having been shifted from its usual slot due to the England v France quarter-final World Cup match.

Countryfile star Hamza Yassin was left in tears as he stunned the judges with two jaw-dropping performances – but fans had the same complaint as he failed to achieve a Perfect Ten after Craig scored him a nine.

Whilst Helen Skelton ran into trouble with a huge wardrobe malfunction when she performed her first routine.

It appeared the TV presenter got so into the complex footwork of her Argentine Tango, she ripped the hem of her delicate sequin dress.
