STRCTLY Come Dancing star Janette Manrara made a dig at judge Craig Revel Horwood last night on It Takes Two.

Janette felt compelled to say “kindness goes a long way” after the judge awarded comedian Ellie Taylor just five points for her jive on the weekend.

Johanes refused to speak ill of Craig but ‘wished him a Merry Christmas’

The Ted Lasso actress had performed a jive to Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison with her professional partner Johannes Radebe, but they struggled to impress the judges and received a total score of 25.

The combination of votes from the panel and viewers’ votes landed her in the bottom two for the first time in nine weeks.

Ellie, 36, broke down in tears on It Takes Two last night as she spoke about facing Fleur East in the dreaded dance off and being booted off Strictly.

After she wiped away her tears, Janette turned to Johanes and pointed out Craig’s stingy scores.

She said: “The judges were very tough on Ellie, especially Craig who gave her a five. How do you feel about the scores?”

The pro dancer refused to speak ill of Craig but replied: “I wish him a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”

Ellie burst out laughing and Janette made a well timed swipe as she said with a hint of sarcasm: “I love it.”

Raising her eyebrows, Janette added: “Kindness goes a long way doesn’t it Johannes?”

The Miami-born pro dancer Janette has presented spin-off show It Takes Two alongside Rylan Clark since 2021.

She previously joined Strictly as a professional between 2013 and 2020.

Her husband Aljaz also joined in 2013 where he won his first series with model Abbey Clancy before quitting the show last year.
