STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were not impressed with the BBC centenary special this evening.

The dance competition honoured the occasion with routines to classic BBC theme songs and references to popular shows.

The stars were given a BBC theme this evening

Strictly fans thought that the theme was unfair

These included James Bye performing to the EastEnders theme and England footballer Tony Adams dancing to the Grandstand theme tune.

But those watching at home felt it was unfair that while some stars had to dance to theme songs, others were given proper tracks.

Hamza for example did the Quickstep to On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons, while Fleur did the Jive to Waterloo by ABBA.

It was in stark contrast to Molly Rainford who performed to the Grange Hill Theme Tune by Alan Hawkshaw.

Taking to Twitter to express their dislike of the theme, once person wrote:  “I’m sorry but it’s actually so unfair that Fleur & Hamza get to dance to actual songs while everyone else have to dance to stupid theme tunes.

“Especially Molly & Carlos, they were well & truly stitched up with the Grange Hill theme tune.”

Another added:  “Hardly fair that Hamza gets to dance to an actual song and Molly had to dance to xylophone noises (love Hamza btw) #Strictly.”

While someone else complained: “So, Fleur and Hamza were not dancing to a theme, but to a normal song. Unfair advantage? #scd #Strictly.”
