STRICTLY fans all said the same thing after the BBC show returned to Blackpool after three years.

The remaining celebrities showed off their best moves at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom this evening.

The show returned to Blackpool this weekend

Due to Covid, the past two series of the programme haven’t been able to travel to the popular seaside town for Blackpool week.

However this year it finally returned.

And to celebrate the remaining famous faces, as well as their pro partners opened the show with an incredible routine.

Many shared the love on Twitter.

One said: “Cant get over THAT@bbcstrictly Blackpool dance opening number it was incredible.”

Another tweeted: “What a fabulous opening number – and it’s the first time for Anton as a judge in Blackpool. You definitely can feel the amazing atmosphere.”

A third added: “Absolutely brilliant opening number for #Strictly. That’s how you open a show! Bravo @bbcstrictly.”

“Colourful, energetic and happy, just what we need at the moment. Great opening dance,” a fourth wrote.

It’s going to be an upbeat week in the seaside resort, with Will Mellor and Nancy Xu performing the Samba to I Go To Rio by Hugh Jackman.

Fleur East and Vito Coppola will do their Couple’s Choice to a Destiny’s Child Megamix.

Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal will perform an American Smooth to New York, New York by Frank Sinatra.

Elsewhere, Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima will Paso Doble to Only Girl (In The World) by Rihanna.

Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe will do the American Smooth to You’re My World by Cilla Black.

Helen Skelton and Gorka Marquez are performing the Quickstep to Valerie by Mark Ronson ft Amy Winehouse.

And Tyler West will be taking a tilt at success alongside Dianne Buswell Salsa to a KC & SEshine Band Megamix.
