The show will open with a routine celebrating all things Blackpool, and contestants will have the opportunity to dance on the famous floor for audiences.

And sharing a peek at what viewers can expect, actor Will Mellor took a short video inside the venue.

He wrote: “It all just got very real!!!”

In the clip, the 46-year-old Corrie star can be seen panning the camera around the very impressive space.

The space looks stunning with its huge dance floor and high ceiling, and Will’s video revealed it had been lit beautifully ready for the weekend.

White net curtains are draped around the space and red chairs are lined up for viewers around the space.

Will said in the clip: “Well I’ve just got to the Blackpool Ballroom for the first time for our rehearsal and look at this.”

The star then spanned the beautiful space with the camera before continuing: “Just got a bit real. Wow.

“It’s going to be a bit night on Saturday. A little bit of wee just came out.”

Fans were in awe of the space, with one person writing: “Been to Blackpool ballroom it’s beautiful good luck for Saturday go smash it.”

Another person said: “Good luck. It looks amazing ❤

A third added: “I love that ballroom!?

The last episode of Strictly saw Kym Marsh perform in an emotional dance in memory of her late son.

Speaking on It Takes Two, presenter Janette Manrara asked Strictly Come Dancing star Kym about her tearjerking dance last Saturday, which was dedicated to her late son Archie, who tragically passed away after being born at 21 weeks in 2009.

The former soap actress said: “It was amazing, it was something I will never ever forget. It was a very very important routine. We wanted to send a message, we wanted to get people talking and actually it did just that.”

Her partner Graziano later said: “To find a way to make the perfect choreography, there was something so special for her. It’s also related to me and I think we find a way to deliver it as the best way.”
