Strictly Come Dancing has found itself at the centre of another race row after Fleur East found herself in the dance off for a second time.

Fans were outraged that Fleur landed in the bottom two alongside EastEnders’ James Bye – despite scoring 32 points on Saturday night.

Fleur landed in the dance off for a second time – leaving viewers crying foul

James Bye was also in the bottom and was sent packing

Fleur, who found herself in the dance off back in week three against Richie Anderson, was gutted to learn she was facing the chop once again.

“It is disappointing, we worked really hard this week but this is how it goes right so we have just got to do our best again,” Fleur told host Tess Daly after learning she was in the dance off.

But viewers of the hit BBC show took to twitter were they were quick to claim the public vote was ‘racist’.

One fuming fan vented: “British racism is, once again, sadly very much in action…”

A second added: “This is a crime” while another called it “outrageous”.

A fourth ranted: “Racism and homophobia at its finest this year I think”, referencing the fact that the two same sex couples have already been voted out this year.

A fifth said there were “worrying trends” in the voting this time around, while another claimed Fleur was a victim of ‘misogynoir’, a term meaning discrimination towards black women.

“Predictable but sickening misogynoir that Fleur is in the dance off for the second time in six weeks, despite having finalist-level talent,” the viewer penned.

Another compared the treatment of Fleur to that of Alexandra Burke, who regularly found herself in the dance off when she competed in 2017, despite incredible scores.

“Its Alexandra Burke treatment all over again hope this doesn’t take a toll on Fleur mentally & she knows she does have support.”

Luckily for Fleur, she had more support from the judges and was saved while James was sent packing.

Fleur was saved by all four judges after impressing in the dance off.
