Christopher – who was partnered with pro dancer Hanna Karttunen on the first series – came second in the competition, losing out to newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky.

Fast forward 14 years later, Christopher is now a Senior Consultant at Ignition Law.

Adorable Spencer stole hearts when he first arrived on the Square alongside brother Alfie – played by Shane Richie.

During his three years on the soap, the EastEnders cast member had a one night stand with Vicki Fowler before being blackmailed by Stacey Slater.

Spencer departed the soap in 2005 when Alfie sent him to live with his cousin in Australia.

For two years, Christopher took his TV pursuits to the US, where he worked for TMZ and hosted Dead Famous Live alongside Gail Porter in Los Angeles.

He then graduated from Birkbeck University in London with a law degree.

He went onto train at Clintons law firm where he advised on multiple litigation matters and has several years leading an in-house legal department, according to his bio on Ignition Law.

Nowadays, his Twitter bio says he’s a media solicitor and broadcaster.

Describing his EastEnders journey, a BBC spokesman said: “Bright-eyed and eternally vulnerable, Spencer was on a mission to find love – trying to emulate some of his brother’s Moon charm.

“His naïve and trusting nature brought him little happiness but protective Alfie always had his back.

@Desperate to make it on his own, Spencer tried some wheeler dealing, but ended up out of his depth and in trouble with local mob boss, Jack Dalton. Alfie took the blame (and a serious beating) to protect Spencer from Jack’s men.

“After an ill-conceived heist, dreamed up by his dodgy cousin Danny, Spencer spent a night in jail and Alfie decided it was time for Spencer to get as far away from the temptations of Walford as possible – living with his cousin Maxwell in Oz.”
