STRICTLY Come Dancing star Saffron Barker, 22, has broken her silence following a feud with a TV chef over a podcast.

Last month, Chef and TV personality Gizzi Erskine took to social media to express her huge frustration at Spotify, after hers and Sydney Lima’s podcast is set to be made without them.

Sex, Lies & DM Slides is now being fronted by Saffron and Anastasia Kingsnorth

The two women created the podcast Sex, Lies & DM Slides, but it’s now being fronted by Strictly star Saffron and Anastasia Kingsnorth.

The chef asked for Saffron, 22, and Anastasia to hold Spotify accountable, and called the whole thing “gross.”

Now, in an exclusive chat with SE, Saffron discussed her side of things and said: “It was all completely incorrect.

“For us we didn’t even know that there was other people behind the podcast before.”

Saffron added: “I think that that is just something Spotify are going to have to speak to them for.

“It’s the last thing I ever wanted.”

Sharing a photo of Saffron and Anastasia on her Instagram account, Gizzi wrote: “I am shocked and horrified to learn that mine and @sydneylimaa podcast @sexliesdmslides that we made with @spotifyuk is being made again without us. That’s fine.

“If Spotify don’t want to make it with us – then that’s fine, but DO NOT STEAL our format and name. WE created it (the format and name) in MY kitchen over a series of months. Spotify just paid for it to be made. I am absolutely up to my f****** eyeballs at being exploited by the big corporations and money people.

“A show not just built on us exposing the sex lives and abuse, but made with documentary integrity and intelligence. This as everyone can see if daylight robbery. I am not blaming the girls, @anastasiakingsnorth and @saffronbarker who have almost definitely been caught up in this, but would ask them to hold Spotify accountable for this as it’s gross. F***. We are SO angry and upset.

“To add insult to injury @spotifyuk @spotify have taken down mine and Sydney’s show.”

Gizzi’s pals were horrified by the news, with one writing: “WTF????” and another penned: “This is shocking and shameless. An outrageous move.”

A third added: “Whoa. Nuts move.”

A spokesperson for Spotify has since issued the following statement: “At Spotify we take intellectual property extremely seriously. Sex, Lies & DM Slides is a wholly-owned Spotify Original podcast inclusive of name and format, and we look forward to watching the show continue to evolve.”

Saffron was speaking at Chrishell’s Lipsy party in London to celebrate the success of her most recent Lipsy collection launch. The ‘ChrishellxLipsy’ edit is exclusively available at Next.co.uk/Lipsy and on all Next international websites
