TONY Adams could be causing more controversy on this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing – this time with his partner Katya!

The England football legend made a cryptic dig at his partner as his family welcomed some new members into the Adams household.

Tony, 56, has so far impressed viewers with his dancing ability, despite him remaining at the bottom of the leaderboard.

He and his professional partner, Katya Jones, have been busy working on their latest routine – and striking up a friendship.

However, the footballer might have to face the music after he named one of his new pet piglets Kat, after his dance partner’s nickname.

The former manager recently welcomed three of the animals onto his £2million Cotswold estate, complete with lavish facilities such as stables and a tennis court.

However, the Arsenal legend and his family were struggling to name their new residents, but Tony settled on a moniker similar to his professional partner.

Rather than get a fright before Halloween Week, Katya, 33, seemed to love the gesture and her new animal namesake, hailing the porky animal as “the best thing ever”.

Far from being offended, she shared a large image of the new member of Tony’s family to Instagram as she revealed the farm animal to her legions of fans online.

Captioning the image she said: “Introducing you to Kat!”

She went onto thank the family for including her in their heartfelt pet moments as she shared a further snap of the sweet creatures.

She wrote: “Leader of the pack. Fully buried herself into her food. Thank you, Adam’s family, for naming one of the pigs after me – what an honour! @tonyadamsofficial @popelov.”

Although the same cannot be said for the pig, which as Katya describes does not have the same sort of energy as the Strictly competitors.

The star continued: “She got so tired from apples, she fell asleep walking up the steps”.

The newfound dancing duo have been locked in rehearsals practising the Quickstep for the scary edition of the BBC dancing competition.

Their dance will be accompanied by The Devil Went Down To Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band as they take part in the Halloween inspired instalment of the long running series.
