STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell has revealed Shirley Ballas has apologised to her after making a ‘rude and disrespectful’ comment.

Dianne, 33, has said that head judge Shirley has reached out to her to personally apologise.

Shirley had been accused of being ‘rude and disrespectful’ to Dianne by viewers

Shirley got Dianne’s name wrong on two occasions

It comes as Shirley, 62, got Dianne’s name wrong on two occasions – with the latest taking place last Saturday.

Viewers at home had dubbed Shirley’s slip up as ‘rude and disrespectful’.

Hitting out against the mistake, one wrote: “Did Shirley just call Dianne ‘Dianna’ again? She’s been on the show for 6 f**king series.”

While a second chimed in: “How after 5 years can Shirley insist on getting Dianne’s name wrong? It’s unbelievably rude.”

But Dianne told Strictly It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara that the pair have made up.

Janette had said to Dianne: “Dianne, you came out and spoke about how Shirley accidentally called you Dianna. But you didn’t mind? You weren’t bothered by that were you?”

Dianne replied: “No, not at all. I wasn’t and you know what she personally apologised to me as well. She said it was an honest mistake.

“This happens, my pop actually did call me Dianna all the time so I quite like it.

It’s… you know, we’re all human aren’t we, we’re all doing the best we can and I don’t want anyone to come at her just for that.”

During last Sunday’s Strictly results show, that saw Ellie Simmonds eliminated, viewers were in awe of Shirley’s dress.

The light material revealed Shirley’s under garments and she teamed the frock with red heels.

One fan reacted on Twitter, writing: “I’m obsessed with Shirley’s outfit.”

Another said: “Shirley’s dress is fabulous.”
