STRICTLY Come Dancing star Tyler West has revealed the weekly ritual he has behind-the-scenes with co-star Tony Adams.

Appearing on The One Show on Thursday night alongside his dance partner Dianne Buswell, radio star Tyler, 26, opened up about the bizarre Saturday night practice.

Tyler revealed how he “naps” next to Tony each week

Tyler revealed his close friendship with the footballer

Talking about his close friendship with co-star Tony, 56, he revealed to hosts Roman Kemp and Alex Jones that he “naps” with him.

He explained: “He’s literally one of my besties, genuinely one of my besties – and we always have a nap around lunchtime on show day.

“Everybody – it’s this running thing now every single week – but everybody takes a picture of us sleeping there.

“We just start chatting, we’re mid story and then we just doze off – and it’s beautiful. He’s an amazing human being.”

Last week, Strictly fans were left furious after they accused the judges of favouring a couple with high scores despite mistakes.

Hamza Yassin topped the leaderboard while Tony Adams found himself at the bottom with 21 points.

Tyler and Dianne sat comfortably in the middle, leaving viewers at home fuming after spotting “mistakes” in their routine.

The couple managed to score 29 points, even though the judges picked up on the mishaps during the routine.

Head judge Shirley Ballas said there were “too many mistakes, too much incorrect footwork, you can forgive a little bit…collapsed in the frame, I’ve seen it better, I’ve seen you better.”

Meanwhile Anton Du Beke added: “The thing that bothered me the most was the top line. It’s not bad just a bit wonky.”

The fact that Tyler still scored more despite his errors has left some fans convinced he’s a favourite with the judges.

One wrote on Twitter: “Tyler and Tony made numerous mistakes…and you score them higher. Surely that should be investigated before the dance off in and hours time.”

Another tweeted: “Tyler looked even worse than I remember. Craig giving that a 7 is actually worse than him.”

A third added: “Grrr. Tyler makes loads of mistakes, bum sticks out, arms not right etc and gets 7’s!”
