STRICTLY Come Dancing star Will Mellor has been seen fighting back tears as he headed out for the first time since his shock Strictly axe.

The soap star – who is famed for his role in Hollyoaks – was voted off the BBC One dance competition over the weekend, much to the disappointment of his fans.

Will, 46, and Nancy Xu were both left in tears after leaving the competition last weekend in a shock public result.

The actor found himself in the bottom two with Fleur East on Sunday night, with the singer ultimately saved and Will sent packing.

Now, the star has been seen for the first time heading out and about after getting the axe – and looking very emotional.

Will looked down in the dumps and appeared to be wiping his face as he kept it casual in a black jacket for an outing yesterday.

He was seen looking solemn while on the phone as he left his hotel following a Strictly’s It Takes Two appearance.

Will – who broke down in tears on the programme – looked to the floor as he walked out in a black top and jacket.

Sweeping his hair to the side with gel, the star stuck with a frown as he looked to wipe away tears from his eyes leaving the premises.

He climbed into the back seat of a waiting car, wearing his headphones round his neck, as he appeared to head home.

It comes after Will and professional partner Nancy both broke down in tears while talking to Rylan on It Takes Two.

Having been eliminated at the last hurdle – which some fans called ‘a fix’ – emotions were running high for their final interview.

Pro dancer Nancy appeared upset throughout the chat and was soon left struggling to hold in her tears after watching a ‘best bits’ video of their time on the show.

Will could also be seen wiping away tears from his eyes after seeing a video of supportive messages from his loved ones.

Nancy held her head in her hands as she said: “I’m so grateful, thank you to this man [Will], I have had the best journey.”

As she spoke tearfully, Will cleared his throat and continued to wipe tears away from his eyes.

She broke down further as she hugged Will, and she said: “I have had such an amazing journey with him, thank you so much.”
