Disney and Lucasfilm Games have sold the rights to Star Wars, and a flood of games based on the franchise are currently in development.

Whatever genre you’re into there’s bound to be a Star Wars game that you will be interested in.

We know little about Eclipse so far.

We’ve collected the full list of games in development and everything we know so far.

Here’s our round-up of all the Star Wars games being made in 2023.

Star Wars games: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

  • Release date: March 17, 2023
  • Platforms: PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S
  • Developer: Respawn Entertainment

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a huge success, and it seemed obvious that there would be a sequel.

It will continue the story of Cal Kestis, one of the survivors of the Clone Wars.

The story takes place five years after Fallen Order, but contains many of the same gameplay elements as the original.

Combat stances have been added, which will give more depth to fighting, as you decide which one suits each enemy.

Star Wars games: Star Wars: Hunters

  • Release date: 2023
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android
  • Developer: Zynga

Best known for their mobile games, Zynga has been working on Star Wars: Hunters for a number of years.

It was originally meant to release in 2022, and has been given no concrete release date for 2023.

What we do know is that it will be an arena brawler containing a number of original characters with unique abilities.

It has already launched in select regions for Android, so we think this one might appear sooner rather than later.

Star Wars games: Knights of the Old Republic Remake

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Saber Interactive

This is possibly the most highly-anticipated Star Wars game, and it is a remake of one of gaming’s best RPGs.

Apparently, it has run into a number of issues during development, which led the publisher to change studio to Saber Interactive.

The current status of the game is unknown, but the change in studio has led to big delays.

Saber Interactive is focused on Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 right now, so it could be some time before we see this one.

Star Wars games: Star Wars Eclipse

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Quantic Dream

This one was announced with a gorgeous cinematic trailer at The Game Awards 2021, but it is still a long way from release.

What we do know is that, like Quantic Dream’s other games, it’s a story-focused, choices matter game.

It will be set in the High Republic era when the Jedi Order and the Republic were at the height of their power.

Star Wars games: Untitled Star Wars FPS

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Respawn Entertainment

This is the second game that Respawn Entertainment is working on, but we know much less about this one compared to Jedi Survivor.

We know it’s an FPS that is directed by Peter Hirschmann, known for the Pandemic games.

As it seems unlikely that a new Battlefront game will ever be released, this is the most fans can hope for.

Star Wars games: Untitled Star Wars strategy game

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Bit Reactor

Respawn is also working on this project, but the main studio is Bit Reactor, made out of old Firaxis staff.

You probably know Firaxis as the studio behind great strategy games like XCOM and Civilization.

While it’s a new studio, we have faith they know how to make a great strategy game.

Star Wars games: Untitled Star Wars open-world game

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Ubisoft Massive

Ever since Star Wars games were a thing, people have been asking for an open-world game in the universe.

Ubisoft have said that it will feature an original story, and be developed in their own Snowdrop engine.

Creative director Julian Gerigthy tweeted that 2023 will be a huge year for Ubisoft, so we expect to hear more on this one soon.

Star Wars games: Untitled Star Wars action-adventure game

  • Release date: TBA
  • Platforms: TBA
  • Developer: Skydance New Media

Skydance New Media is headed by Amy Hennig, best known for writing the Uncharted series.

She previously worked on a game in the Star Wars universe, but it got cancelled several years ago.

In a similar style to Uncharted, we know that this one will revolve around action-adventure.
