Bayonetta 3 — How to grind lotuses for the game’s best weapons and accessories

BAYONETTA 3 is the long-awaited sequel fans have been waiting eight years to play, and it was definitely worth it.

However, all the best items, weapons, and accessories, are sold in Rodin’s shop, and he wants payment for his wares.

Get to grips with the Umbra Witch.

In particular, the best weapon in the game requires 2million lotuses in total in order to buy it.

That’s not including all the other accessories and items you’ll need along the way.

Equip the Mallet of Rewards

Fairly early on in the game, there is a purchasable accessory called the Mallet of Rewards.

This significantly ups the number of lotuses earned while in battle.

You have to equip it in the menu, and it takes up one of your accessory slots.

However, if you want to collect everything in the game, it is worth losing out on the extra help.

Higher difficulty settings give significantly more rewards than lower ones.

Each stage you increase the difficulty will earn you more rewards, so it’s worth trying even one stage higher.

Those who have finished the main story will unlock Climax difficulty, which gives a big upgrade in rewards.

However, go too high, and you’ll start using more items, so try to find the balance that works for you.

Later chapters also reward you with more lotuses, but again are significantly more difficult.

Lotuses can be found on the ground in many locations. However, if you dash over these, you won’t pick them up.

When you approach a large patch, slow down to pick them up. A large patch off the beaten path is also worth picking up.

These don’t give a significant amount, but if they’re on the way, every little helps.

Each level has three Umbral Tears in it that are difficult to find and collect, but don’t worry, we’ve found them all for you.

However, if you collect all three, you will open up an alternate chapter that contains a challenge.

Many of these are boss arenas, or have five-minute time limits, but they give a lot of rewards.

They are quick to try and redo if you fail, and one of the easiest ways to farm extra cash.
