Clever Minecraft Legends trick unlocks powerful units

MINECRAFT Legends is a long, expansive game with many upgrades that can be obtained in almost any order.

Knowing which order to obtain each upgrade in Minecraft Legends can be tricky, and it can massively help your army if you want to be victorious.

You’ll need to build these upgrades if you want to take down tough Piglin camps

Thankfully, if you know what you’re doing, you should be able to win just about every battle in the game, even if you’re not playing at your best.

Here’s the best build order for every upgrade in Minecraft Legends.

Minecraft Legends: Resource upgrades

The very first thing you should focus on in Minecraft Legends is getting all of the resources you’ll need in your banks.

Doing that means you’ll have plentiful access to iron, coal, redstone, diamonds and more, all of which are necessary for the following upgrades.

In order to gather all of these resources, you’ll need to build the corresponding upgrade for each resource type.

It’s important that you build each upgrade as soon as you can, as if you divert resources elsewhere you may find yourself in a tough bind.

Minecraft Legends: Storage upgrade

In order to store all those resources, you’ll need plenty of storage space, which means you’ll want to upgrade your storage to hold more.

By default, you can only store a small amount of each resource, and upgrading your storage ups your storage capacity by a considerable amount.

The default storage upgrade lets you hold more wood, stone, lapis, prismarine, and gold, all of which are vital for later upgrades.

Thankfully, the requirements for upgrading your storage are quite low, so you can get this upgrade quite early on.

Minecraft Legends: Cure netherrack

Netherrack is a type of land tile that surrounds many Piglin bases, and can be very frustrating to deal with.

In normal circumstances, you can’t build anything on netherrack, which makes it impossible to place structures and spawners.

The cure netherrack upgrade lets you clear patches of netherrack from the ground, which transforms it into grass.

That makes it very useful for creating temporary bases or spawn points inside a Piglin base, making taking bases back much easier.

Minecraft Legends: Flames of Creation upgrades

Now that you’ve got plenty of resources available, expanding your army is the next big hurdle you should clear.

Flames of Creation upgrades let you increase the size of your army, which is vital to taking down some of the harder bases in the game.

Be warned though — the smaller of these upgrades is a waste of time and resources, as it only increases your army by four units.

Instead, you should save a little bit more to get the large upgrade, which gives you 10 units and should see you through most of the mid-game.

Minecraft Legends: Banner upgrades

If you want to make the most of your newly enhanced army, you’ll need to make sure you’re upgrading your banner too.

There’s no point in having a bigger army if you can’t command them, so you also have to upgrade your banner so you can command more.

Banner upgrades let you command additional units at once out in the field, which significantly increases your might.

With more units under your command, you’ll easily be able to take down even the toughest bases in the game, so keep on top of your banner upgrades.

Minecraft Legends: Wake the Firsts

The Firsts are a set of four golems that are some of the strongest allied units in the game, and can easily turn the tide of battle alone.

While finding the Firsts is relatively easy, since all you need to do is search for question marks on your map, actually recruiting them requires an upgrade first.

That upgrade is an improvement called Wake the Firsts, and is relatively easy to craft if you’ve followed along up until now.

Once you’ve got the Wake the Firsts upgrade, you can then go out and recruit the Firsts to dominate enemy bases.

Minecraft Legends: Collect Power Towers

Power Towers are easily some of the best defensive structures in the game, offering a host of powerful abilities that are sure to keep your villages safe.

In order to build Power Towers, you’ll need to collect the cores of existing towers in the game, which can’t be done right off the bat.

Instead, you’ll need to get the Collect Power Towers improvement, which lets you dismantle existing towers you find in the world.

Once you’ve dismantled a tower, you’ll be able to use the core to build a tower of your own, meaning your towers will be finite in number.

Minecraft Legends: Second resource upgrade

At this stage in the game, there are likely to be structures you want to build that cost more of each resource than you’re able to carry.

To remedy this, you’ll need to build yet another resource upgrade, which will let you carry more of each resource.

Focus on placing a second of each resource upgrade, one-by-one, as each will increase the maximum carrying capacity for that resource.

With enough upgrades, you should be able to build just about anything you want, and won’t have to worry so much about running out.

Minecraft Legends: Shared village chest

Now that you’ve got increased storage space, you should work towards getting one of the most convenient upgrades in the game, the shared village chest.

As you free villages from their invading Piglins, the villagers in those villages will start gathering resources and placing them in the village chest.

Unfortunately, each chest is its own pool, meaning you’d have to visit every village across the map to get all of them.

The shared village chest upgrade combines all of the chests to have one combined storage space, which can be accessed from any chest in the world.

Minecraft Legends: Second Flames of Creation upgrade

At this stage you should be absolutely swimming in resources, which means it’s time once again to expand your army.

Another large upgrade will take your army up to a 40 unit capacity, which should be enough to get you through the campaign on normal.

If you really want to make sure you get through unharmed, there’s no harm in pushing it up to 50 units with another large upgrade.

No matter what limit you aim for, be sure to upgrade your banner too, so you can command all the units you have.

Minecraft Legends: Allay upgrades

This is an optional upgrade, but it can make your time with the game a little quicker and less painful at times.

Upgrading your Allays gives you more Allays, which can make gathering resources and building structures much quicker.

That said, you can also get new Allays for free simply by finding them in chests throughout the world, so the upgrade itself isn’t really necessary.

Still, if you’d rather spend resources than aimlessly wander trying to find Allay chests, this is a good option.

Minecraft Legends: Carpenter and Mason upgrades

Like the Allay upgrade, this is technically optional, but it can make your life much less tedious with how much time it saves.

Carpenters will slowly repair any building in their radius, which helps keep them alive even longer, helpful in longer sieges.

Masons, on the other hand, will upgrade any wooden structures that happen to be nearby into stone, which gives them even more of a defensive boost.

These are both nice upgrades to have, but neither of them are necessary at all, and you won’t feel like you desperately need them.
