FOLLOWING Xbox’s Developer Direct and Nintendo’s Direct, PlayStation held its showcase for upcoming games in 2023.

This State of Play was focused on PlayStation VR2, and an extended look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Three characters received a deep dive.

The 45-minute showcase was packed with new games that you might have missed out on.

Here’s all 15 games shown during PlayStation’s February State of Play.

The Foglands

The showcase kicked off with The Foglands, a supernatural cowboy-themed first-person shooter for PS VR2.

You play a distracted cowboy who must hone their skills in order to survive in the wastelands.

This was just a brief trailer, but it gave promise for the growing library of the PS VR2.

No release date yet, but we know it will come to PS VR2 in 2023.

Green Hell VR

Green Hell is already on a number of platforms, but it is now coming to PS VR2 this year.

This is a survival horror game set on an island, where you have to use your wits to survive.

Gather resources, craft new items, and escape the looming threat on the island.

The second game in the PS VR2 showcase has no solid release date beyond 2023.

Synapse

One of the more promising games to feature in the PS VR2 showcase, Synapse is a supernatural first-person shooter.

Played at a very fast pace, it has a limited colour scheme giving us SuperHot vibes.

The enemies are all attached by ropes, and seem to not be quite human.

There is some mystery about Synapse, which will release sometime in 2023.

Journey to Foundation

Another game from the PS VR2 showcase, Journey to Foundation is a sci-fi game where you explore a spaceship.

The crew is on a mission to save humanity, as they search for the answer to Earth’s plight.

Another short trailer, but one that showed an interesting world, and is another first-person shooter for the library.

Journey to Foundation will be released in Autumn 2023 for PS VR2.

Before your Eyes

An interesting concept, where you watch and interact with past memories.

The catch is that everytime you blink time will move forward, and you have to leave that memory forever.

Before your Eyes has been critically acclaimed, winning a number of awards for the concept.

It launches on PS VR2 on March 10, 2023.

Destiny 2: Lightfall

The latest expansion for Destiny 2 got its own trailer, showing off more of what’s to come.

The Witch Queen already added a huge amount to the base game, and Lightfall is set to be even bigger.

We were shown a fresh look at the combat, and a small sneak peek at the new storyline.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is out sooner than you think, coming to PS4, and PS5 on February 28, 2023.

Tchia

In Tchia, you play as a young girl, who has built a homemade raft in order to explore the islands around her.

You will play on both the boat and the islands, as Tchia slowly learns more about herself.

What is most interesting about it, is that it will come to the PlayStation Plus Catalogue as soon as it launches.

Tchia is coming to PS4, PS5 on March 23, 2023.

Humanity

If you have ever played IQ: Intelligence Qube then Humanity will seem strangely familiar.

This has more 3D platforming, as you lead a pack of humans through a set of challenges.

Playing as the dog from IQ, Humanity has pre-made levels where you need to find the right path forward to save humanity.

Humanity will be coming to PS4 and PS5, and will also be available on both of PlayStation’s VR systems in May 2023.

Goodbye Volcano High

Goodbye Volcano High has been out on PC for a while, but it is finally coming to PlayStation.

You play as a dinosaur dealing with all the emotional trials of high school, with your dino friends.

This plays like a visual novel / rhythm game, where the story guides you as you play.

Goodbye Volcano High will launch on PS4 and PS5 on June 15, 2023.

Naruto/Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections

This is a collection of popular Naruto games from the series in one convenient package.

It features all the games from the Ultimate Ninja series from the original, all the way to the most recent fourth release.

While fans were waiting for the fifth game in the series, this is still a welcome addition for modern consoles.

No set release date but the collection will arrive on PS5 and PS4 in 2023.

Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 arrived on Steam in early access in 2020, but you will be able to experience it on PlayStation for its full release.

Customise your character, and journey through the world of Dungeons and Dragons in this RPG.

Fans have been waiting a long time for this one and it finally has a definitive release date.

Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch on PS5 on August 31, 2023.

Wayfinder

Wayfinder was first shown at The Game Awards 2022, but we now know it’s a beta PlayStation exclusive.

From the creators of Warframe, it is a similar style of free-to-play online multiplayer.

There will be dungeons, as well as the main hub world.

Interested players can sign up for the beta now for PS4 and PS5 which starts on February 28, 2023.

Street Fighter 6

Three characters received an extended look in the new Street Fighter 6 trailer.

Fan favourite Zangeif is making a comeback, with his roster of hard hitting moves.

Lily is a new character with a goofy vibe, who calls on the spirits to help her in battle.

Cammy is back with a new shorter hair cut, but still just as strong and agile.

Street Fighter 6 will see its full release for PS4 and PS5 on June 2, 2023.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

We got a third trailer for the Resident Evil 4 Remake, including an update on the multiplayer mercenaries mode.

Leon looks more realistic than ever before, as you get closer to the classic third-person combat.

One of the more exciting announcements is that a demo will be available shortly.

Resident Evil 4 will launch on March 24, 2023 for PS4 and PS5.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

We received an extended look at the upcoming Suicide Squad game, with 15 minutes of gameplay.

You’ll be able to play as Harley Quinn, Boomerang Man, Deadshot, or King Shark, and change up your character for each mission.

The rumoured Battle Pass is real, but Rocksteady confirmed this would only be for cosmetic items.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch for PS5 on May 26, 2023.
