EA Sports have announced the top 100 rated players on FIFA 21 ahead of the game’s release on Friday

FIFA 21 is out October 9, and footy fans are already keen to know who the game’s top 100 rated players are.

Other Premier League stars to make the top 20 include Liverpool aces Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mané, as well as City striker Sergio Aguero.

Messi took top spot, with his 93 out of 100 rating only just beating Ronald’s 92.

They’re followed by Lewandowski (91), Neymar (91) and De Bruyne (91), whose passing is rated an unstoppable 93.

You can check out the full top 100 list below.

FIFA 21 top five players

Lionel Messi is the top rated player in FIFA 21

1. Lionel Messi, Barcelona: 93

The Argentinian has been one of the top 10 players in the world for over a decade and takes the crown as the highest rated player in FIFA 21.

With a blistering 91 acceleration and 80 sprint speed – despite being 33 years of age – Messi is still a game-winning addition to any FUT squad.

His shooting is almost unbeatable to, with 95 finishing, 94 long shots and 86 shot power. Oof.

His only downside is his dire defending stats, but you were never going to stick him at centre back, were you?

2. Cristiano Ronaldo, Piemonte Calcio: 92

Another ageing star who’s still better than the rest (at least, according to EA) is Cristiano Ronaldo, FIFA 21’s second highest rated player.

The Portuguese striker boasts 91 sprint speed and 95 finishing, making him a formidable player even at 35 years of age.

Ronaldo’s jumping is up there with the best the game has to offer, coming in at 95.

Combined with his 90 heading accuracy, that makes him a good player to stick on the end of crosses – which are a tad overpowered in FIFA 21.

Juventus have a licensing agreement with Konami to appear exclusively in Pro Evo, so Ronaldo plays for “Piemonte Calcio” in Fifa.

3. Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich: 91

Bayern Munich beast Robert Lewandowski was banging in the goals last season, earning him FIFA 21’s number three spot.

With 55 goals in 47 appearances for The Bavarians, it’s no surprise his shooting stats are outrageous in this year’s game.

With 94 finishing, 89 volleys and 89 shot power – combined with 94 positioning – he’s sure to bag your FUT squad plenty of goals.

Like Messi and Ronaldo, his defending stats leave a lot to be desired – watch those tackles on the halfway line, the ref certainly will be.

4. Kevin De Bruyne, Manchester City: 91

Kevin De Bruyne is the Premier League’s top rated player

Kevin De Bruyne is arguably the best passer of the ball in FIFA 21 and, watching him play for City in real life, it’s little wonder why.

The Belgian midfielder boasts 94 short passing, 93 long passing and 94 crossing to boot.

His shooting isn’t bad either, racking up 91 shot power, 91 long shots and 82 finishing.

His major downside is his poor pace, but the way he can ping a through ball means that shouldn’t slow down his impact on the game.

5. Neymar Jr., Paris Saint-Germain: 91

The Brazilian superstar just makes it into FIFA’s top five in the world despite an injury-hit couple seasons with PSG.

Neymar’s skill moves and speed are the reason most players will pick him, with his five star skill moves and five star weak foot a huge attribute.

Combine that with 94 acceleration and 89 sprint speed and you’ve got a player tailor made for dominating one-on-one situations.

Neymar’s low aggression – just 51 – may raise some eyebrows after his dramatic sending off last month after he punched an opposition player.
