LEAKED photos of the new Xbox give gamers their first look at the console in the flesh.

The alleged pictures, posted to Twitter by an anonymous user, show both the front and back of the high-powered Xbox Series X.

Microsoft only unveiled the gaming machine last month, promising fans it would be out in time for “Holidays 2020” meaning October or November.

The Washington tech titan only shared artsy renders of the console, and gamers have heard next-to-nothing about it since.

Twitter user @Doug_DragoX uploaded the “leaked” photos on Wednesday.

The front of the console matches the tall, cylindrical design revealed during last month’s unveiling.

An optical audio port, two USB A ports, ethernet, power and a single HDMI port feature on the rear of the console

At the back, we can see an optical audio port, two USB A ports, ethernet, power and a single HDMI port.

The unit is marked with a serial number and labelled as “Xbox Product Name Placeholder.”

It’s not clear how “Doug” obtained the photos, nor whether they really show a Series X.

One quick-thinking Twitter user attempted to register the machine to their Microsoft account to check its genuineness.

It worked, seemingly confirming the leaked photos are real.

As with any leaks, we can’t know for sure that the pictures are legit, so take them with a pinch of salt for now.

They follow a leaked photo of Sony’s new console, the PlayStation 5, that hit the web last week.

The picture accompanied a cache of information posted to notorious online web forum 4Chan.

The “leaker” said the console would be unveiled on February 5, 2020, and cost 449 in the UK, or $499 in the US.

Sony first revealed details of the PS5 last year, announcing it would launch around the Holiday Season 2020.

Unlike the Series X, we’re yet to get a proper look at the console, but the recent leak suggested we’d be treated to one very soon.

Loading up a game on the PlayStation 5 will be ten times faster than on PS4, according to Sony.

In other news, Sony recently confirmed thePS5 release dateas coming before Christmas 2020.

A recent “price leak” suggests thatthe PS5 could cost 250 more than its predecessor.

And we reveal thebest PS5 gamesyou can expect to play next year.
