TIKTOK has teamed up with Epic Games to create a weeklong dance contest with the aim of finding the next most popular Fortnite Emote.

The challenge has been inspired by user-generated content on TikTok and Fortnite fans have until January 24 to download the app and get dancing.

TikTok star Jordan Fisher now has his own emote

Epic Games wants to build on the fact that a lot of trends and memes are born on TikTok.

The prize for the winning Emote is that it will become immortalised in the Fortnite game.

And, as if that wasn’t cool enough, you’ll also get 25,000 V-Bucks to spend in the game and a Fortnite VIP giveaway package.

TikTok users and Fortnite fans are all invited to participate by using the hashtag#EmoteRoyaleContest on TikTok.

YouTube personality Pokimane is also encouraging her followers to get involved

All you need to do to enter is film a video of yourself breaking into an original dance move.

You’ll need to use music from the official TikTok Fortnite playlist ‘Emote Royale’.

Once you’re happy with your moves then post the TikTok video along with the hashtag in the caption.

Winners will be announced in February.

TikTok and Epic Games have got American dancer and actor Jordan Fisher and YouTube personality Pokimane in on the action.

They’ve already uploaded their TikTok videos alongside their new Emotes and you can check them out on the app.
