E3 is usually where most game companies debut their biggest games, but not this year.
The convention has been cancelled, and in its place each company is holding its own smaller showcase.
Snake Eater was announced at the PlayStation Showcase.
There are still plenty of big-name games that will be announced this year, and many more that gamers are hoping to see.

Round-up and how to watch
PlayStation May 2023 Showcase
PlayStation had the first showcase of the season, showing off extensive gameplay for Spider-Man 2.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced, and release dates for Alan Wake 2 and Assassin’s Creed Mirage were also revealed.
The biggest announcement was that Sony is developing its own handheld streaming console, launching this year, called Project Q.

Meta Quest Gaming Showcase
Meta will be holding a 40-minute showcase for upcoming games on its VR headset Meta Quest.
Formerly known as the Oculus Quest, it’s one of the best VR sets on the market.
You can watch the main event on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, and in Meta Horizon Worlds.
Guerilla Collective Showcase
This showcase will bring trailers and announcements for upcoming indie games from the Media Indie Exchange.
+Some of the confirmed indie titles include farming cat game Snacko, Contra-inspired action platformer Iron Meat, roguelite StormEdge, and sandbox survival horror Outbreak Island.
Guerrilla Collective Showcase will go live via Twitch.
Summer Game Fest
The largest summer showcase, Summer Game Fest will have World Premieres from more than 40 publishers.
This year’s lineup includes console makers Sony and Xbox, as well as big names like Activision, Capcom, Square Enix, EA, Epic Games, Bandai Namco, CD Projekt Red, Ubisoft and HoYoVerse,
It also includes indie game publishers like Annapurna Interactive and Devolver Digital, and two of the biggest streaming services’ gaming units, Amazon Games and Netflix Games.
The Summer Game Fest can be watched via YouTube, Twitch, or Twitter.
Day of the Devs Digital Showcase
Technically part of Summer Game Fest, this smaller showcase will feature upcoming indies.

Devolver Digital Direct
One of indie gaming’s biggest publishers will also be holding its own livestream as part of Summer Game Fest.

Access-Ability Summer Showcase
This new showcase will feature games developed by disabled gamers with extensive accessibility options.
Soft Leaf Studios, Hyper Luminal Games, and Whitethorn Games have been confirmed to make an appearance.

The Wholesome Direct will feature cosy games with similar vibes to Stardew Valley and Unpacking.

Future Games Show
Held by GamesRadar and hosted this year by Marvel’s Spider-Man voice actors Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey, the show promises 70 minutes of game announcements, trailers, and reveals.

OTK Games Expo
Hosted by streamer collective One True King, the OTK Games Expo will show 30 video games from a variety of genres.

Final Fantasy 16 Pre-Launch Celebration Live Stream
Square Enix has confirmed a big pre-launch live stream for Final Fantasy 16.
The game is coming out on June 22, and the pre-release celebration event is scheduled for June 11, though where we can watch has not been released yet.
Xbox Games Showcase
A sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and a new Forza Motorsport game are expected to be shown at the Xbox Showcase.
A short teaser posted on May 31 seems to confirm that we’re getting an important Fable announcement 12 years after the last mainline release.
The Xbox Games Showcase can be watched via the Xbox official channels on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook.
Starfield will get its own showcase directly after the main Xbox event.

PC Gaming Show
PC Gamer is showcasing 55 titles for PC, including 16 new game announcements with the confirmed presence of Baldur’s Gate III and Dune: Awakening.
PC Gaming Show 2023 will air on YouTube and Twitch.
Ubisoft’s showcase promises “exciting news on upcoming games from our teams around the world.”
No details about specific games and announcements have been revealed yet, but the publisher will be sharing more as the event draws closer.

Upload VR Showcase
Dubbed VR’s biggest showcase, The Upload VR Showcase will have updates about upcoming VR games for a variety of platforms.

RGG Summit Summer
The RGG Summit Summer 2023 will feature news and updates on the upcoming Like a Dragon/Yakuza games, including Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon 8.
You will be able to watch the stream with simultaneous interpretation at Sega Asia’s English YouTube channel.
