IF you’re an Android phone user and you want to play Google Stadia on the go then you may be in luck as it seems Google is planning to expand on the devices that can run the streaming service.

Currently, if you want to use Google Stadia on your phone you’ll need a smartphone from the company itself like the Pixel 4.

Google Stadia is a game streaming platform

However, 9t05Mac claims to have conducted some research that found several Google Stadia subscribers who don’t use Pixel devices have still been able to stream a game to their smartphone.

These subscribers had the Google Stadia app downloaded already and had simply tested whether it would work.

These users reported that Google Stadia was working on devices like the OnePlus 6T, Samsung Galaxy S10e and Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

This would indicate that Google is rolling out tests for Stadia subscribers who don’t have Pixel phones.

The feature only appears to be in the test stage at the moment

However, the reports indicate that the testers have been chosen at random.

So if you are a Google Stadia subscriber with the app on your Android phone and you want to give this a go then don’t hold your breath.

There’s no harm in seeing if it works though as you may be lucky.

The reports also stated that users only got to play one game session with Google Stadia on their non pixel device before it stopped working again.

No issues were reported so it seems the other devices were running Stadia successfully.

Hopefully this means Google will be launching its game streaming service for all non-Pixel Android phones soon.

As with any rumour, we won’t know for sure until we get official word from Google itself.
