WANT to add your own custom wallpapers on your PS4?
The latest PS4 update added support for user-uploaded backgrounds, and we’ve got all the details on how to do it.
The blue background on your PlayStation 4 can get a little boring.
But if you’ve updated your console to the latest version 5.50 update, you’ll be able to swap it out.
First, you’ll need to load up a USB stick with some images you’d like to put on your PS4. Make sure they’re nice and high-quality small, blurry photos will look terrible.
Then make sure all the images are located in a folder named ‘IMAGES’, which allows your PS4 to recognise them.
Once that’s done, plug the USB stick into a USB port on your PS4.
To change the wallpaper, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings
- Then choose Themes
- Hit Select Theme
- Choose the Custom option
- Press Select Image
- Then choose USB Storage Device
If you haven’t got any great pics already, Sony has helfpully rounded up 23 amazing game-themed wallpapers for you to try out.
The new 5.50 update also lets you customise your Tournaments team page with a unique team logo or background.
Once again, you’ll need to load these images onto a USB stick, then:
- Go to Events
- Then select Teams
- Then choose your team
- Then press Edit Team Profile
