Spider-Man: Miles Morales launched with the PS5 last year

The annual event offers players discounted games, special community events and prizes.

This year’s Days of Play sale kicks off on May 26 and runs until June 9, Sony wrote in a blog post.

There are great deals on a selection of PS4 and PS5 games as well as other PlayStation-related products.

They’ll be available online and in-store at participating retailers, and it’s safe to assume they’ll appear on the PlayStation Store, too.

Starting next week, top PS5 games like Demon’s Souls are going on sale

Here are the initial deals, according to PlayStation:

PS5 Games

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – £42.99
  • Sackboy A Big Adventure! – £51.99
  • Demon’s Souls Remake – £59.99
  • Marvel’s Spiderman Ultimate Edition – £59.99

PS4 Games

  • Days Gone – £16.99
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man – £16.99
  • Death Stranding – £16.99
  • The Last of Us Part II – £22.99
  • Ghost of Tsushima – £30.99
  • PS Hits Titles for £11.99

Sony’s PS5 console boasts an unusual white and black design

The PS5 discounts aren’t massive, which is partly because the games are still new and partly because they were so expensive to begin with.

The PS4 price cuts, on the other hand, offer more substantial savings.

Don’t forget, the PS5 is backwards compatible, meaning you can buy PS4 games and play them on Sony’s next-gen machine.

Sony hasn’t listed the retailers where the deals will be available just yet.

Sony released the PlayStation 5 worldwide in November 2020.

The full PS5 costs £449/$499, while a Digital Edition without a disc tray is priced at £359/$399.

They’re up against the Xbox Series X (£449) and Xbox Series S (£249), which also hit shelves last November.

All four consoles have been sold out around the world, with stock seesawing in and out of availability over the past few months.

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan recently claimed that it would be much easier to get a PS5 from July onwards as production of the console ramps up.

The PS5 launched with major exclusive games like Spider-Man Miles Morales and a revamped version of Dark Souls for players to enjoy.

Xbox gamers, on the other hand, have a new Halo title to look forward to later this year.

In other news, HOAR’s favourite alternative to a games console is the Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.

Check out the wildly impressive Panasonic 65HZ1000 TV, which makes most tellies look rubbish.

And Dell’s Alienware R10 Ryzen Edition is a gaming PC powerhouse that crushes both the new consoles.
