POKÉMON Go is introducing a new type of raids that fans are excited for.

The Rising Heroes season is coming to an end, and new Pokémon will soon be entering.

Another chance to catch Shadow Mewtwo.

A new cup has also been added to the Go Battle League, which will challenge players.

Here’s everything that’s happening in Pokémon Go from May 22 to May 28.

Shadow Raids enter the game

The first Shadow Raids will enter Pokémon Go on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Shadow Mewtwo will be the first target of this new raid type which will appear in every gym taken over by members of Team Rocket.

These five-star raids are not completable using Remote Raid Passes, meaning players will have to meet up in person.

Shadow Raids will be more difficult than typical five-star raids, but a new item, Shadow Gems, can help players take them down.

This also marks the start of the Rising Shadows event, though details about the event are secret for now.

Skorupi takes the spotlight

This week’s Spotlight Hour will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, from 6pm local time.

Skorupi, the pre-evolution of Drapion, is the target of this week’s spotlight hour.

As usual, there are increased spawns and chances to spot a shiny during this hour.

Any Pokémon evolved during this hour will also give you double XP, so hold off evolving until then

Catch Cup ends Rising Heroes season at the Go Battle League

Go Battle League will change on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 9pm UK time.

The Master League, with an uncapped CP limit, will remain in the Battle League for another week.

Catch Cup will be the other cup this week with a CP limit of 1.5k.

Only Pokémon caught between May 24 and June 1 will be eligible, and mythicals are excluded.

Regigigas takes over raids

Raid Hour will take place on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 6pm local time.

After Tapu Fini’s double bill in five-star raids, a new Pokémon gets its time to shine.

Regigigas is one of the game’s most powerful Pokémon and will be available in every single gym as part of five-star raids.

Mega Altaria will take over from Mega Pinsir in Mega Raids this week.
