Pokémon players are losing their save data – how to protect yours

POKÉMON Scarlet and Violet players have reported that their save data has been erased following the latest patch.

The new Pokémon patch was developed to improve the games’ performance, and add new features to the games.

One of the new paradox legendaries.

These include two new paradox Pokémon available in five-star raids, and the ability to link your save file to Pokémon Go.

However, players have been reporting issues since updating their games, and there are even issues which delete your save data.

Many people have reported failing to connect to others using link code, while still being able to access the online raid board.

This can be particularly annoying as many people are trying to access raids to catch the two new legendaries.

Several people have also reported on social media that their Scarlet or Violet save data has been deleted, though it is not clear the reason why.

It appears that it is either due to linking their Pokémon Go account, or by pre-ordering the DLC.

Linking your game to Pokémon Go will allow you to send a postcard that means you can catch different patterns of Vivillon.

While if you order the DLC, you will earn a number of outfits you can download immediately.

You will also be sent a code to download Hisuian Zoroark, a Pokémon that is not obtainable by any other means.

Players have reported that their save data has been wiped after using one or both of these new features.

They also claim that you cannot recover your backup save data pressing Up+B+X on the home screen.

One person claimed: “I lost a 595 hour save file because of this, and so far nothing can be done to recover my save.

“We are now around a dozen people this has happened to. Not all have linked to [Pokémon] Go, some experienced it just after downloading DLC.

“So it may be more of a patch issue than connected to Go.”

It appears that the issue has only affected a small number of players, but it is something to be cautious of.
