ROTOM is a very versatile Pokémon that is perfect for competitive play due to its alternate forms.

Not only is it popular in online battles, but it can be useful in raids such as the upcoming Cinderace raid.

You can get the catalog at the auctions.

However, in order to get Rotom to change form, you will need the Rotom Catalog, which can be difficult to find.

Here’s how to get the Rotom Catalog and change your Rotom in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How to change Rotom forms

Rotom comes in six different forms, each with their own type, signature move, and use.

Rotom Wash is the most popular Rotom form in competitive Pokémon right now, but Rotom Mow can also be seen.

Rotom Fan will be useful in the upcoming Cinderace raid. But don’t worry, you can change your Rotom as many times as you like.

Here are the six forms:

  • Rotom Heat – Microwave – Electric/Fire
  • Rotom Wash – Washing Machine – Electric/Water
  • Rotom Frost – Refrigerator – Electric/Ice
  • Rotom Fan – Electric Fan – Electric/Flying
  • Rotom Mow – Lawnmower – Electric/Grass
  • Rotom – Lightbulb – Electric/Ghost

To change Rotom’s form, you need to get the Rotom Catalog. With Rotom in your party you can then select it from the Key Items menu to change its forms.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Where to get the Rotom Catalog

Once you have beaten the Water-type Gym, you will be able to access the auctions in Porto Marinada.

If you have a Rotom, there will be a special auction available for the Rotom Catalog so you can change its forms.

This is a set auction. So while other auctions are random, you’ll always be able to buy the Catalog if you don’t have one.

The bidding will start low. There is no clear strategy for auctions, but ours cost us around 5k by always betting the smallest amount.

If you keep bidding, you are guaranteed to win it; just make sure you have enough money in your account.
