Suicide Squad rumoured to be delayed beyond May

SUICIDE Squad: Kill the Justice Squad could be delayed, though apparently not due to fans’ poor reaction to the latest trailer.

During PlayStation’s recent State of Play, 15 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Rocksteady game was shown.

The gang is back together.

The overall response to the footage was negative, due to a number of different factors.

People were disappointed to see that there would be a purchasable Battle Pass included despite Suicide Squad being a full-priced game.

There was also pushback to the idea of a Gear Score, which fans thought would mean the game includes tedious grinding.

It was also revealed that even if you were to play in single-player, there was a requirement to always be connected to the internet.

The final common disappointment was that the four playable characters’ abilities don’t match their comic book personas.

For example, Harley Quinn traverses the environment by swinging around like Spider-Man.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Suicide Squard has been delayed again, though this is not in response to the pushback.

Originally supposed to be released in 2022, it was first delayed until May 26, 2023, but it is now expected to be delayed past that.

The delay will apparently only be for additional bug fixes and to further develop parts of the game.

Bloomberg’s source has said that the core gameplay elements that fans reacted poorly to will remain unchanged.

The source for this report asked to remain anonymous as this information is not currently public.

Therefore, it should only be considered a rumour at this time.
