THERE’S a few weeks left until the holidays, and a number of big games will be released just in time to celebrate.

We’ve rounded up all the big games coming out this December, so take a look and see which ones you’ll pick up.

The Callisto Protocol promises to bring the fear.

The Callisto Protocol – December 2

Made by a number of developers who worked on the original Dead Space series, The Callisto Protocol works as a spiritual successor to these games.

Not for the faint of heart, there will be a lot of gore, and you tear your way across Jupiter’s moon.

One for fans of survival horror, violence and blood.

The Callisto Protocol releases on December 2 for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns – December 2

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is just the second of the three big-name games all releasing on the same day.

This one is Marvel Superheroes meets XCOM, as you use teams of heroes to clear out maps with tactical play.

The developers are known for some of the best strategy games out there, so this one is in good hands.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be released on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Need for Speed Unbound – December 2

Despite being rumoured as in development for years, Need for Speed Unbound was only officially announced in October.

Yet, it’s already almost here, with an open world for fans of racing games to explore.

If Need for Speed is your racing series of choice, then this will be one you want to pick up.

Need for Speed Unbound also launches on December 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Hello Neighbor 2 – December 6

The original Hello Neighbor was a hit with fans despite the numerous bugs there were at launch.

Following its success, a sequel is releasing soon, which will see more stealth gameplay, as you sneak around your dodgy neighbour’s house.

We’re hoping that this one releases with a little more polish than the original game.

Hello Neighbor 2 will be released on December 6 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Dragon Quest Treasures – December 9

Working as a prequel to Dragon Quest 9, Dragon Quest Treasures tells the story of Erik and Mia’s childhood.

Like the title suggests, the pair are on the hunt for treasure.

You’ll be able to recruit and battle using different monsters that you find along your quest.

Dragon Quest Treasures releases on December 9 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 – Reunion – December 13

The latest game in the Final Fantasy 7 reboots, Crisis Core will be available before Christmas.

Originally a PSP exclusive, it tells the story of Cloud and Zac before the events at Nibelheim.

Those who have played the other games in the FF7 reboot series will want to make sure they grab this one.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 – Reunion launches on December 13 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update – December 14

The last big release of the month is a modern update for one of the best games of all time, The Witcher 3.

It’s coming to all modern gaming consoles, and will be free to anyone who owns the original on the same platform.

The update will also include the two big expansions which were released for Wild Hunt.

The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update releases on December 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
