Swirlix takes the spotlight

This week’s spotlight hour in Pokémon Go will take place on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 6pm local time.

Spotlight Hour will feature Swirlix, a generation six Fairy-type Pokémon that evolves into Slurpuff.

Swirlix will be available more commonly during this hour, and its shiny rate is increased.

There will also be 2x stardust given for each Pokémon caught during this hour.

Zekrom takes over raids

This week’s raid hour will take place on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 6pm local time.

Completing the Tao Trio, Zekrom, another Generation 5 legendary Pokémon, will be seen in gyms.

Zekrom appeared on the Pokémon White box art and comes with the signature move Fusion Bolt.

It will appear in every gym during this hour as a five-star raid.

As part of the Twinkling Fantasy event Mega Salamence will also be part of raids.

The Go Battle League goes back to basics

The Go Battle League will change on Thursday, January 11, 2023, at 8pm UK time.

The Master League will remain in Pokémon Go, and will be joined by the usual Ultra League and Great League with no further restrictions.

This weekend there will also be a special Battle League event featuring Generation 4 Champion Steven Stone.

This event will take place on January 14, to January 15.

Twinkling Fantasy event starts

The Twinkling Fantasy event will take place from Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 8am until Monday, January 16 at 10pm local time.

Dragon- and Fairy-type Pokémon will be more common during this event, including Clefairy, Dratini, and Marill.

Goomy and Noibat will be the rare spawns during the event, and they all have a chance to be shiny.

There will also be research tasks available as part of the event.
