FORMER Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell has fuelled rumours she is behind the Fawn character.
The fun-loving soap star addressed fan speculation that she is involved in the show on her Instagram story last night.
Looking snug inside a cosy fur hoodie, Alex teased she was “keeping it in the family” after winning the latest Strictly Christmas special dressed as a reindeer.
She then followed her cryptic comment with a cheeky winking face.
On Saturday’s show Fawn sang Tale As Old As Time, from Disney movie Beauty and the Beast.
The powerful vocal led some viewers to guess Perrie Edwards is behind the mask.
Fawn survived another week on the show after Cake, aka Lulu, 74, was eliminated.
Meanwhile Corrie star Alex has taken a job working for Aldi after quitting the soap last year.
But all is not quite as it seems – the actress, who played hairdresser Emma Brooker on the ITV soap – isn’t stacking shelves or ringing up items on the till.
Alex is working with the supermarket giant as part of their new ad campaign.
While she isn’t seen on screen, she voices the role of the speaking sausage casserole, announcing “just £2.69!”
Alex shared the video for the promo spot on her Instagram page, revealing: “I am… Sausage Casserole!
“Never felt so connected to a role!,” she laughed.
And she quickly got the approval of her former co-stars.
“Absolute banger!” joked Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Battersby on the cobbles.
