Only time will tell if the prediction is true, but away from TV screens, the pair certainly live in a gorgeous home.

The Spandau Ballet singer showed off his new kitchen as he posed alongside the white counter tops and huge island in an Instagram post with his Wham! star spouse.

Martin, 61, and Shirlie, 60, have the huge property to themselves now that their children are all grown up and have moved out.

Taking to Instagram, the father-of-two – who shares son Roman, 29, and daughter Harley, 33, with his wife, praised their stunning kitchen.

The photos showed the white counters and matching white marble tops, fitted with gold detailing and surrounding a huge white sink.

A double stove is hidden in a small alcove, next to a sprawling kitchen island perfect for hosting guests for dinner.

The kitchen has a number of high-tech fittings including a WiFi operated coffee machine and oven – with the fridge hidden in a separate room.

“My favourite part of the kitchen is the coffee machine, it’s connected to wifi so when you are in bed in the morning you can go on the app and get your coffee ready for the day, no need to move,” Martin gushed.

“I can’t wait for the lovely family moments around this kitchen island.”

The family have been busy renovating their new home – a Victorian mansion in dire need of some internal TLC.

Martin and Shirley have been documenting the transformation on an Instagram page dedicated to the house – Maison #9.

The couple have had walls removed in the living room to create an “open plan” living space centred around an original fireplace.

Upstairs there are a number of bedrooms that the Kemp’s have been busy renovating, with the roof above the master suite totally replaced.

The room appears to have been fitted with a huge crystal chandelier, with the walls throughout finished with neutral white, creams and blues.

Martin’s old Victorian house has plenty of outdoor space, which wife Shirlie has transformed with a sweet white shed and plenty of flowers.

“The previous owners grew lots of their own vegetables, something we have never done,” the couple explained of the garden in one post.

Showing off the plots of land, the couple revealed they had also added a white “front gate” to the home, as well as the small shed.

Martin wed Shirlie in 1988 and the couple have one of the most solid marriages in showbiz.

They have daughter Harley, and son Roman, whose Godfather is the late George Michael, who Shirlie used to be a back-up singer for in his band Wham!
