The Masked Dancer will surprise viewers this week as the show gets a huge shake-up.

The hit ITV series will debut a show-first twist after the judges struggle to guest the identity of the masked celebrities.

Oti and the panel will struggle to guess the celebs’ identities in this week’s show
A twist will see Davina and her fellow judges handed a lifeline

Fans will see host Joel Dommett present panellists Peter Crouch, Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross with a never-before-seen helping hand.

A show insider teases: “The panel are completely baffled by some of the celebs so producers are giving them a lifeline in the form of a Joel-ker Card from Joel.”

The source adds: “It’ll give them an extra clue as to the identity of the stars behind the costume. They can use it on whichever dancer they choose but they can only use it once.”

It remains to be seen whether the clue will help the panel – and what viewers will make of this twist.

At the end of last week’s instalment, the show also revealed another first is in store on Saturday night.

Joel announced at the end of last Saturday’s episode that three celebs will be unmasked next week in a show first.

But fans were convinced this ‘gave away‘ who will be leaving the episode before it even airs.

People have now predicted that two acts go – and one is Pillar and Post, hence three getting unmasked.

One wote on Reddit: “They said next week 3 celebrities will be masked…

“What if that is 3 celebrities rather than 3 acts? What if that’s a clue to tell us Pillar & Post get voted off alongside another act???”

The dance competition sees 12 celebrity acts perform routines across the course of the competition.

hree have already gone home since the series launched.

Three of the remaining acts will make it through to the final episode when the winner is announced.

Another fan did the math and said it would make sense for duo Pillar and Post to go home next weekend.

They replied in the thread: “This season has 8 episodes, so that really adds up to the theory.”

Joel will hand the panel a ‘Joel-ker’ card with a big hint
