MASKED Singer fans are convinced that Jacket Potato is a 80s rock icon after spotting a ‘clue’ on the show.
Since returning to our screens last month, viewers of the ITV show have been scratching their heads over who they think the celebrities are behind the costumes.
Saturday night’s instalment of the programme saw Jacket Potato gave their best rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way.
After the performance the judges – Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Stephen Mulhern – put forward ideas such as Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton and Shaun Williamson.
There have been various names thrown about who they think that Jacket Potato is – including Shane Richie, Bradley Walsh or Brian Conley.
But now Masked Dancer fans think that it could be British singer Billy Idol, 67.
The show’s official Instagram account shared a snap of the character with the caption: “Are these GENERATED Clues FRYING your brain too?”
One fan replied: “I think jacket potato is either billy idol coz of the motorbike clue as billy idol had a motorbike accident in 1990 as he’s a big Harley Davidson fan … Or it could be Richie sambora from bon jovi … .”
A second simply said: “Billy idol,” while someone replied to their comment with: “i thought this too.”
“Billy Idol,” another chimed in.
A number of Billy’s biggest hits include: Hot in the City, White Wedding, Rebel Yell and To Be A Lover.
Meanwhile other fans are convinced that Jacket Potato is comedian Harry Hill.
Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that Jacket Potato was pictured with a stethoscope, which some think could be a hint because Harry is a qualified doctor.
Aside from Harry Hill, many fans have speculated that Jacket Potato could either be a celebrity chef like Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver.
