MASKED Singer viewers have said they think Sausage is really Stacey Dooley after “cracking” clues.

The popular ITV show returned last month and fans are super sleuthing trying to guess which celeb is hiding behind each of the wacky costumes.

Many fans of the show think Sausage could be Stacey Dooley

On Saturday night’s episode of The Masked Singer, Sausage returned to the stage as they showcased their incredible voice with a rendition of Rag’n’Bone Man’s hit song Skin.

The mystery celebrity blew the judges and audience away with their performance while also revealing clues about their identity.

Amongst the hints, they said they are a “tomboy” and a “bit of a silly sausage”.

After hearing them sing and listening to the clues many fans of the show took to Twitter to guess who it could be.

Stacey has said previously that she can’t sing

The meaty snack delighted viewers and judges with their voice

One wrote: “Can Stacey Dooley sing cos boy Sausage’s VT sounded JUST like her… #TheMaskedSinger”

“I am whittling sausage down to Sheridan Smith or Stacey Dooley,” added another.

In the comments section on one of the Strictly winner’s Instagram snaps, one fan wrote: “You are the sausage on the masked singer.”

“She is,” agreed another.

Stacey won Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One in 2019

The show began on Boxing Day last year

While a third chimed in: “I thought you were the sausage on the @maskedsingeruk until the sausage started singing.”

However, some fans of the TV presenter weren’t so convinced as they insisted Stacey had previously revealed she can’t sing.

“People who know and love Stacey has said she can’t sing including herself, so I don’t believe that the sausage on the masked singer is Stacey Dooley,” wrote one.

Stacey’s former Strictly partner and now boyfriend Kevin Clifton joined in with the discussion on Twitter.

After Sausage’s performance on Saturday night, judge Davina McCall said she believed the celebrity was Stacey before she started to sing.

Finding the comment hilarious, Kevin repeated the judge’s comment on Twitter followed by a series of crying laughing emojis.

At the end of the second episode Martine McCutcheon stunned The Masked Singer viewers as she was unveiled as Swan.

The Love Actually star, 44, fooled pretty much everyone except judge Jonathan Ross who guessed correctly at the very last moment.
